Nice hotel, catering mainly to Chinese customers which means if you dont speak the language, it could be more problematic. Once you talk to them in Chinese, service is very friendly and they accommodated me also on opening the gym early. Somehow they had a problem parting with their paper maps but upon giving my room number and promising to return it, they helped me with finding a location to roam around in the evening. Which brings me to the location. In the new part of town, there is not much. There is a supermarket right next door however, and some little eateries, so for catering to oneself, its still convenient. If you want to see a little more of what Zhengzhou is about, take a taxi and go to the centre, which is near the train station. At night life is buzzing there, street vendors occupy the pedestrian area, and lots of shops around.
Breakfast was nice, service very good and friendly.
