“What a great find”

What a great find in Zhengzhou! We only stayed one night as a stopover from Luoyang to Xian but it was nice to arrive to a new, clean and comfortable hotel room at a very good price. It’s also about a 2 minute walk to various fast food options and the train station, so very convenient if you’re arriving in the late evening or leaving in the morning. There is a network cable in the room for internet access.

The hotel signage is not visible from the train station. To get there, facing the main train station building (with the two pyramid-topped towers) walk to the right down the street between the two KFC outlets. Two minutes down the road you will see the hotel on your left, set back slightly from the road. Note: You’ll be swamped by older female touts from other hotels as you exit the train station who will annoyingly shadow you all the way to the hotel front door.

“Great hotel, great bargain”

This Jinjiang Inn is clean, modern, attractive and inexpensive. It is on a major avenue near the old campuses of several colleges in the West of Zhengzhou; nearby are quiet, shady residential streets. The rooms are small but well organized. My room facing away from the avenue has been exceptionally quiet. Everything--public spaces, hallways, stairways, rooms, baths--is clean and fresh looking. The building was built in the 1970s but was completely remodeled for the hotel a few years ago. There is a big Spar 思达 grocery/discount store 2 blocks away on Tongbai Road. The Wonderful Life Restaurant 锦绣年华 on Wenhuagong Road north of the hotel and Xiaonanguo Restaurant 小南国 on Wenhuagong Road south of the hotel are excellent.
