Nanshan is a paid resort area and attractions are temples and the beach. There are few restaurants within walking distance and there is nothing to do at night except for a nightly performance right next to the hotel. Performances included traditional Chinese martial arts, dancing, music instruments, etc.
The hotel itself is okay. The room smelled funny but the room was big. It smelled like it was stale. Nothing was dirty about it though.
The pool was AWESOME though. if you have a chance I'd recommend swimming in it as it offers great views and is outdoors. At the very least, take the complimentary electric car to go up to the pool (if you are staying on ground level) for great views and photographs.
