Enjoyed a 4 day stay here in the spring of '09. The beach is very nice and the hotel has a charm to it. It is fairly new and the facilities are good. Very nice pool area and surprisingly good food as well. Sanya overall isn't the best beach destination we've been to though... the beach is great but there isn't much else to do. Hopefully one day, there will be more activities, shopping, restaurants, etc...

This hotel does not stand up to being advertised as a 5-star boutique hotel. At first sight the lobby and welcome were unimpressive and somewhat tired. The reception staff were friendly but struggled to manage if you could not speak Putonghua. The room smelled musty and a number of fixtures were broken. Quality of the food at breakfast was poor, so we avoided eating there for dinner. The layout of the swimming pool and grounds was very pleasant, though they've overdone the cement turtles. I would not stay here again.

Our suite amazed us: two huge rooms, two large balconies, hot tub, GORGEOUS views. The pool was one of the best I've experienced, loved the little cabana type areas surrounding it; fabulous beach access and plenty of chairs to use, too. The breakfast offered a decent selection of Western and traditional Chinese fare. (Good balance). The resort is about a 5 minute taxi ride from the Crown Plaza resort/restaurant/shopping area, which has a decent pizza place and a coffee shop. The Holiday Inn next door had a great restaurant and bar eating area.
