I stayed in Shenzhen Empire Hotel 2 separate nights . The hotel is a big building near the center of Shenzhen. It has lots of facilities including nice resturants.

The hotel stuff hardly speak English and at night u can't find in the hotel someone speaking English unless the Guests ! Though the number of stuff in the hotel is big.

Rooms are large. Single room is normally a 2 bed room. The quality of the room is good but its Old . furniture and u can see stains on carpets and the bath. However its not dirt stains as the hotel is very clean.

There are two room types Business and Normal . The difference is only the internet connection. I stayed for one night in a Business room for 385 RMB and one night in a normal room , 285 RMB .

As for transportation , From Hotel to Shenzhen station by taxi its only 20 RMB its around 5 to 10 mins. To and from the Airport its between 80 to 140 RMB, around 45 mins.

The hotel stuff are friendly and cooperative , regardless their lack of English.

Its quite a walking distance from the active parts of Shenzhen (15 mins walk ), so Taxis are the most practical transportation there. For me , I moved to another hotel to be more in the city center and also to have easier access to metro .
