If you mind your budget and you're after a clean and friendly place away from Pub street and all the backpacker shenanigans go for the Victory guest house. Beautiful communal space where you can read/chill out after a long day at the temple. The lovely manager even gave us a welcome fruit shake!

Victory is a fantastic place to stay in Siem Reap. I stayed here for about one month whilst doing voluntary work in Cambodia. Moy and her family are so hospitable, very accommodating and incredibly helpful. The food is really good and they can't seem to do enough for you here. A lovely place.

worth every penny.We came as cyclists. 2 of us. Rooms were clean and very cheap. At USD8 for fan room with breakfirst its a steal. We thus took a room for each of us. This place is real cosy, with lots of plants around. You may sit for hours at the cafe, very cool atmosphere. It has wifi connection. A bit of mosquitoes at sunset though at the cafe. Preobably due to the lush plants.There are bicycles too for rent.
A bonus here is the cafe. They make really good food. Triy the fired mix veges, simply superb.

Acid

This is my second stay at VIctory and i would not consider staying anywhere else, the staff, especially Moy have made me feel very welcome. The rooms are clean and the food is delicious and it is only a short walk from the busy area of Siem Reap, but nicely tucked away from the noise etc.
I cannot speak highly enough of this place, so visit here and you will know exactly how great it is!
