“Good hotel for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 February 2012

We stayed here for 2 days this past December. Lovely hotel. The staff was very friendly and made sure they did everything to make us happy. We came in a bit early, and we knew we had to wait until they have the room ready, but the hotel staff put us in a temporary room while getting our room clean/ready. The room was spacious and very clean. Comfy bed, and good bathroom.

The breakfast was good. They had many options: bread, jam, butter, rice, meat, omelet station, noodle station, coffee, etc. I did not think the food was good, but it was included in the price and decent enough.

The only thing I did not like was the location. My boyfriend wanted to stay somewhere quieter, but it was annoying because everytime we needed to do something/go somewhere, it's a tuktuk ride to town ($3 one way $5 round trip). There aren't restaurants within walking distance. However, our tuktuk driver, Savan (If I spell it correctly), was absolutely wonderful. We had him for the whole 2 days, and would definitely recommend him to anyone.

The swimming pool is nice. We were the only one swimming there, which was even better. Also, small refreshment upon arrival was a lovely tough.

Room Tip: Quite Rooms $5 round trip by tuk tuk to center of siem reap $12-$15 per day to rent a tuk tuk to s...

“Near other newer hotels”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

Reserved by our custom tour company asiapacifictravel.vn we were in room #503 on top floor overlooking pool area. Very clean room and bathroom. Quiet. Large exterior balcony overlooking pool. Our room was larger than others we had on our Vietnam/Cambodia trip. Nice breakfast room with great buffet breakfast. At other times of day room is vacant and you can get good free Wi Fi signal by going toward left window area when you first enter doorway. We had a tour guide and driver for the sites so the hotel location was not important. Do not know if it was walkable to the older part of town. Many hotels seem to cater to many Korean visitors that must come here.

Room Tip: Quieter rooms probably face exterior swimming pool area.

“Good location”

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a tour group. The hotel is conveniently located near the town centre. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with safe, flat screen TV, good aircon and a courtesy tray including complimentary water each day. I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast, although there was a good selection and the omelettes were good. However, a very nice lunch was provided for us. The hotel has a nice bar and ample lounge seating, but the happy hour was limited to Angkor beer and cakes. The staff were helpful and courteous and offered to stamp our postcards and send them off. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay here again.

“Good and bad points - overall not a bad place to stay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2011

Following a five hour boat trip, on which I got burned to a crisp by the sun, my judgement may have been a little clouded but, the staff in this hotel were just far too attentive! From the moment we walked through the door there was about ten staff to each of us - which was just too much to take! Check-in took about twenty minutes, we did get a nice fruity drink and some face towels but to be honest I really needed to get to my room, have a shower and get some clean clothes on me! The hotel has a number of golf buggies and they took us round to the room, there was the standard wrestle with the luggage - I prefer to wheel my own! Let's just say I was glad to finally get to my room!
The room we stayed in was really spacious and the bathroom was really nice as well, although there were a few dust mites running around the free toiletries. Apart from that everywhere was clean - apart from the lizard we discovered at bed-time! Hotel maintenance quickly sorted this for us though, even if it was in an unorthodox manner.
Since the hotel is pretty much on the outskirts of town, we decided to have lunch at the hotel - apparently there are many restaurants to chose from but we really couldn't be bothered with the hassle of trying to find somewhere nice. Anyway, we went to the restaurant and discovered we were the only guests in the whole resort, which was strange as it is quite large. We had two members of staff at our service, watching our every move - unnerving to say the least, and, to be honest, extremely annoying even if they were really nice. Pretty much everything I asked for from the menu was unavailable for one reason or another - I was about ready to crack but settled on a lemongrass martini - not recommended for anyone who isn't already an alcoholic and a pizza - not recommended for anyone with taste buds. Both were horrific.
When we returned to the hotel we discovered that about three coach loads of tourists from Vietnam had arrived, and this obviously took the focus from us, which was great.
After much negotiation we convinced the staff to serve us dinner in the hotel - most of the menu was still unavailable but I found something I fancied, I did want it with noodles instead of rice and this caused a bit of confusion but it was fine in the end.
There is a 'Business Centre'in the hotel from which the internet can be accessed - don't be fooled though, it generally doesn't work and crashed repeatedly when we were trying to book flights.
Overall the staff were very pleasant and tried to help when they could - providing they understood the request and it didn't fall outside of their 'guidelines'. I don't think I would stay here again, Siam Reap is quite underdeveloped and really the only reason to go is to see Angkor Wat but I would carefully research other hotels and find somewhere suitable for your needs.
