It’s a well-located hostal in a quite safe area just 2 blocks from Sagarnaga St. where you find many stuffs like tourist agencies.
Hostal Copacabana has good and comfy bedrooms. I asked for a single room with private bathroom but it’s important to note that bathroom is too teeny. Nevertheless, it’s always clean and tidy. Notice that rooms facing to Illampu St may be a bit noisy.
Breakfast is included. They offer some slices of bread with butter and jam. Also, you’ll have a cup of orange (or other fruit) juice and the so important and unfailable coca leaf tea. Don’t miss it mainly if you’ve just stepped in La Paz coming from somewhere at the sea level or about. Coca leafs really help during the acclimatization period.
Front desk is always welcoming, kindly and helpful. Don’t hesitate to ask for directions, tips and hints about La Paz and surroundings. They have a tourist agency in the place.
Internet service is also provided, despite the fact connections are slow.
All in all it’s a place that worth a stay for the price and benefits you find there.
Ps: if you come from a place at the sea level or so, ask for rooms on the first floor. They don’t have lifts and, believe in me, altitude is a severe way to say “welcome”!!!
