My husband and I are often not fans of the bed and breakfast setup for lodging. One reason we don't prefer B&B lodging is because they are often very "historical" and victorian in their decor, which is just not our style preference. Stoneridge Vineyard Farm & Inn was one of the only ones we've stayed at that was more modern in its decor. Another reason we often steer clear of B&B's is the awkward shared breakfast time and common area living space. This is where we were most pleasantly surprised. We loved chatting with the owners, Johnny & Carol during the wine and cheese gathering and breakfast - actually disappointed they were not at our table on Sunday morning because they are such wonderful people full of interesting stories and they made you feel like family you've known your whole life. The other guests were equally interesting and so friendly and enjoyable to get to know. Stoneridge is conveniently located, has large, comfy rooms, phenomenal views, and is impeccably clean (and we are sticklers for clean lodging above all other characteristics). If you are planning for a trip to Augusta, you would be crazy not to stay with these folks!! Hope you take the opportunity to enjoy this true gem of a place.
