The hotel is basically a bunch of larger houses connected together inside a little gated compound. You feel very safe and cozy here. The rooms are very clean, not super fancy but fairly modern and nice and have free internet. They have an incredible complimentary breakfast with a lot of choices. The location is amazing with several main attractions, shopping, and great restaurants only a short walk away. There is a bus stop only 2 minutes away which takes you all over Vina and into Valparaiso. It is only a few minutes walk to the beach. Although we didn't have a car, we were told that you can park inside the compound. The staff were great, always helpful and able to suggest things for us, which bus route, etc. I don't think you will be disappointed here.

This hotel is made up of two (or three??) old houses that have been remodeled and interconnected so as to make the whole complex feel like a nice, cozy B&B. Believe me, after spending a frigid night up in the snow in Farallones, this was a great warm place at which to hang our hats.

The room decor is nice, and we were lucky to get a room in the back (I can imagine how one may be able to hear some noise on the rooms near the street, though). We had absolutely no problems with WiFi or fixed Internet access on the Macintosh computers right outside our door in the hall way.

Staff is friendly, although I did not perceive them to go exceedingly out of their way to help (for example, no one offered to take the bags ups for us to the second floor). Despite this, I later figured out (after some time in Chile) that this was just a cultural bias on my part; these folks were being helpful and friendly in their own way (a bit reserved, and disconnected, that is). Nevertheless, they did help us when we asked where we could find different spots (for example, they directed us to Concon for the best empanadas in the area).

Breakfast is basic but everything there was fresh. Check-in and check-out were trouble free and without hassles. And best of all, we were in a great location for walking around the shore and the tourist section of the city.

I definitely recommend this place and we would go back to it again.

This place is pricey but the location could not be better. The room was clean and the TV and internet all worked. The key for us was a good location and a place to park the car. We also were visiting during the off season, but if it were the summer, it would be minutes to the beach, which makes it a great spot. The service was friendly and exactly what we expected. I would suggest this place for anyone who can swing the price.

Last minute, we decided to stay in Vina Del Mar and basically emailed the hotel that morning for a reservation that night and they were quick to get back to us. The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very helpful in telling us which bus to take and where the best shopping was.
The hotel was cozy and elegant at the same time and there was gated parking for our rental car. I think Vina Del Mar is definitely more expensive than Valparaiso, so a rate of $150/night isn't bad, but since we were in the beginning of the slow season and the hotel was pretty empty, I would think we could have gotten a discounted price. Other than that, we loved it and would absolutely recommend it to friends.
