Pricing: Varies wildly. You can get offers on the internet that make this hotel a great deal. But the rack price is ridiculous.

The Setting: The casino and hotel literally ARE the heart of Viiña del Mar. Therefore, here you have the feeling of being in the best possible place and also have many good restaurants and shops nearby.

The Views: Spectacular ! All rooms have huge sliding doors that open onto a panoramic vie of the garden and ocean.

The room: Very generous, with a tasteful marble bath, a king sized bed and plenty of space. A few problems, though: There was only one chair, which is kind of awkward if you ordered room service. Also, the air conditioning was extremely noise, it felt like sleeping on a plane. After we complained, it was shut off and we didn't miss it at all. Could be a problem in summer, though.

Room Service: One of othe highlights of the hotel. Very fast service and very tasty food at very reasonable prices. One night we ordered pizza for the kids, the other night a steak, and both were delicious.

Breakfast: There is a buffet in one of the second-floor restaurants. Correct, but on the small side, considering the size of the hotel.

The top-floor spa: The views at sunset are unbeatable, and the water is warm. That's about it, because there many small problems that tell you that the staff have no clue about how to run a hotel spa. They would open windows, and the draft was unbearable outside the water. Every day, between 6 and 8 pm there was a water aerobics class with loud music and a shouting instructor. Very tasteless.

Parking: Extremely easy and safe. There´s an elevator that leads directly from the parking floor to your room floor. Super practical and free if you stay at the hotel.

Childcare: A disaster. WE had high hopes for this, becauseour kids (6 and 3 years old) make fine dining next to impossible. But the childcare facility was full of game machines that are mean for teenagers, with loud explosions, gunfire, etc. We were expecting a separate space for smaller children with crayons, blocks, etc. It did not exist.

In summary, a hotel that could be five stars if management had a better idea of what five stars mean.

Best hotel on the coast, beautiful building, rooms and public areas, outstanding restaurants (casual and formal), amazing top floor spa and pool. Casino on site. Room included free internet, free breakfast (excellent) and free use of spa (great deal). Numerous restaurants in close proximity to the hotel. Booked 6 months early to get a lower room rate.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The location is perfect, the food in both restaurants is fantastic, the staff is wonderful. I go once a year to this hotel and the staff remembers me from year to year! Every room has a view of the ocean.

great views from balconies overlooking the water. rooms are big and have lots of closet space and HUGE beautiful bathrooms with tubs. all in marble.
nice toiletries, good towels and bath robes.
i really enjoyed the room.
big and comfy bed, and free wifi!!!

what i disliked:
one night the restaurant on the beach played really loud music from 1 -3 am. that was very annoying. they should respect the fact that a lot of people sleep just across the street.
besides that one night, it was quiet and had no problems sleeping.

the casino; smoking is allowed and people in there were kind of sad. (im just not into that thing). i guess the casino attracts some odd people.

breakfast buffet- besides the fruit (which was good) it could use foods of higher quality: LOTS wheat products and the bread was bad. the coffee tasted a bit like ice cubes in New york (chlorine-ish) and the croissants, pastries were dull.

Overall i would stay there for business again, but if i had to pay my self (this is a fairly expensive hotel) i would try something else.
