We stayed at the Al Qasr resort for the first leg of our honeymoon from 8-11 January 2012 and loved every second of it!
The service was fantastic (especially room service!) from start to finish - the check-in experience was very relaxed - we were escorted from our taxi to a lounge reception area and offered a hot towel and dates, before being shown to our Junior Suite (free upgrade courtesy of the reception manager). The Suite was huge with a rain forest shower and his and hers sink basins! We did not have a sea view, but double balcony overlooked the hotel entrance with grand fountains and super cars! As the buidling is huge and we were on the 6th floor, it was very peaceful. We also had a great view of the Dubai skyline.
There are a number of restaurants within the hotel complex where all cuisines are catered for. We opted for b&b so were able to choose where we ate. Breakfasts at the hotel were amazing offering everything from pastries to sushi!
The beach was gorgeous and very quiet in January. Weather was 25 degrees each day with clear skies and a pleasant breeze from the sea. The Al Qsar beach strip has great views of the Al Burj Arab. You can order food and drinks form your sun lounger or 'bed on the beach' and do not have to carry cash as charges can go straight to your room.
We would really recommend to anybody who is looking for something a bit special and we look forward to going back someday!

Dubai was our first Honeymoon destination. We arrived on December 12th, 2011. When arriving at Al Qasr, everything is impressive, the architecture, the view and the friendly staff. The welcome drink (lemon juice with lemon grass) was amazing!

We stayed at one of the Arabian Deluxe Rooms. The room was very spacious, clean, typically decorated and as we were on our honeymoon, there was Champaign, fruits and nuts! And even though we didn’t have an ocean view, it was perfect! The staff was always very friendly and helpful.

The advantage of staying at one of the Jumeirah hotels is the infrastructure you have from the whole complex. It is very easy to move around and you can find everything you need at the Souk (there are a lot of shops, restaurants, drugstores). We had lunch at a Persian restaurant called Anar. The food was delicious, although a little expensive. The Noodle House was a good cost benefit option. The food is tasty, not fancy, but at a very good price.

It was also very easy to access the pool and the beach either by foot or through the canals. The beach is amazing, white sand and blue ocean. There is also a very good beach service from which you can order drinks and food, It is not cheap, but as you are at the beach it is quite practical.

In general, everything was perfect, no complaints. Thank you very much for the lovely stay!!!

Highlight of checking in...was offering us dates in a beautiful wooden box. Unusual and gave a taste of being in the Arabian peninsula. Not much else in Dubai has retained a feeling of the area. Beautiful architecture ....The hotel is beautiful and although new, it does try to capture the feeling of the history of the land. Expensive but worth the splurge.

Brilliant hotel, fantastic staff, great services, brilliant location... Couldn't say more!
