I stayed at this hotel during May 2010 and loved every minute. While waiting to check in I was escorted to the lobby and given hot towels and drinks. The staff were amazing. After checking in I walked around the reception etc... and within minutes I had staff approaching me asking if I needed assistance. The hotel noticed it was my birthday from my passport and on the day was surprised with a 'Paul's' chocolate cake and birthday card. In the evening they delivered a bunch of red roses to my room. It totally made my day. I ate at a number of restaurants and although Dubai is very dear the food is superb. The hotel turn down your beds twice a day and each night delivered little toiletries, such as cucumber hand cream or mint foot balm. Due to the BA strike during May 2010 they had managed to get me a flight back with Emirates, but had to stay an extra night. The Al Qasr had no room for an extra day, so booked a night in the Atlantis. I had stayed at their sister hotel in Bahamas (which was complete luxury) but was totally disappointed with the one in Dubai, was not a patch on the one in Bahamas or the Al Qasr. Just wanted to thank all the staff at the Al Qasr, for making my birthday special. I travel a lot but you were by far the best service hotel I have stayed in.
