My boyfriend brought me here as a surprise for our anniversary and boy did this hotel blow me away! 4 or 5 restaurants to choose from, all serving lovely food. Great location on the beach with plenty of amenities, and if you chose to not leave the hotel for a week, I would imagine that you wouldn't get bored easily.

The rooms are fantastic, very clean with great staff. They check your rooms 2 or 3 times per day and if you have an afternoon nap, by the time you get back from dinner your bed will be made and turned down ready for the evening.

Hotel was very clean, even the ashtrays everywhere were being cleaned all the time. The pool staff were great, always making sure you had the lounger you wanted. Also plenty of staff around to polish sunglasses!, get your drinks etc.

Great Stay and we will go back!!!

It was a surprise anniversary gift for my wife, the overall experience was great. The staff, facilities and food were fantastic. On the down side I was expecting a much better room, ours was nice but it was on a corner with limited views to the sea. Also being on a corner other guests can see directly to our room. I’m planning to come back on November 2012 to our 19th anniversary and hope to get a better view.

On the day of our anniversary the management surprises us with a very nice card, flowers and frame as a gift. But the best was on our anniversary dinner in a restaurant OUTSIDE the resort they send us a cake with our names and candles. They exceed our expectations. Thanks!!

First the good points, The staff were lovely and as our travel agent Kenwood Travel had over hyped the hotel and assured me they would let the hotel know I was celebrating a birthday, I was dissapointed when they had not kept their word, after voicing my concerns, Edward at the front desk was charming and resolved the situation. The room was lovely and Rameesh who cleaned the room was fantastic and so helpful, always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Room service was excellent and beautifully presented. The beach service was a little hit and miss, a couple of afternoons we were unable to order any drinks and had to waddle off to the bar to get some water, the cocktails are expensive and a little lacking in alcohol content, usually after a long island iced tea I am a giggling wreck, we tried some other cocktails but they were dissapointing. There is a lovely pool further up the property from the palace, we decided we would spend a morning there but after being asked our room number by the pool boy we were told we were not allowed to use the pool, so rather embarrassed we sloped off heads hung low, when we got to the beach all the chairs with umbrellas were taken, we asked if we could seek shade under one of the tents but, again, we were told we were not allowed to use these, so we decided we would order some lunch on the beach, nope, we had to eat at the pool, so off we went, finally finding a nice lounger at the pool and requesting a menu we went to place our order to then be told we could not eat at the pool either. It was getting to the point where we were worried about what we could and could not do, so we decided that we would head to The Roof Top bar as here they did fabulous cocktails, so we dressed up and and took the shuttle to Arabian Court part of the hotel, on entering the bar we were told that we were not allowed in as there was a private function, would have been super if we had known this earlier! On the whole its a lovely hotel but we would not return as we have stayed in much nicer places for far less so really value for money was an issue here.

I have stayed at the hotel last Jan and this Jan 2012 i stayed for 5 days. Once again i had a great experience, friendly staff clean room with 5 star luxury. In fact they gave me the same room as last year which was avery nice touch with great views. The room was spacious plenty of room for the clothes that i bought and it was cleaned twice a day and i had an excellent guy who was always friendly and smiling.
The buffet breakfast was delicious esp fruit juices and the egg station was great having poached eggs omelettes and scrambled egg
They even have 2 buffet restaurants for dinner with the chef out to guide u on what to try esp as i am veggie.
The beach was great and u could be at the palace or Arabian court and staff were always available
The hotel also has a recreation centre which was great and i booked 4 days of tennis coaching with an excellent coach Henry who was great fun
We had a tennis tournament on the thursday which was well organised
The hotel has a great gym and spa
its close to the Mall of the emirates and has a jetty or shuttle bus that goes to the One and Only palm which is worth trying for the restaurants as u get a discount there
If u like luxury and spending time on the beach then i definitely recommend this hotel and will be returning very soon
