Just returned from a 3 night stay and have to say this hotel was fantastic. This is my 3rd visit to Dubai but 1st time at Hilton. The service was impeccable and the staff could not do enough for you. Situated right on 'the walk' which is very lively in the evening. Although our official check in time was 2pm we arrived early at 10am and got checked into our room immediately and was offered breakfast same day. Rooms were very comfortable and had all the amenities you would expect from a 5* hotel. We were on bed and breakfast board and the breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. The hotel grounds were beautiful and had the added benefit of a private beach area with an abundance of sunbeds. My previous stay at the Sofitel, although the beach was just across the road the luxury of having the beach and sunbeds on your doorstep greatly appreciated and makes this hotel stand out from the rest! On previous visits to Dubai we made use of the shuttle bus service to the malls however just to inform travellers that Dubai mall no longer offer the shuttle service to or from any hotel. We travelled nearly everywhere by metro as Jumeirah Lakes Towers station was about 12 minutes walk away. Taxis are not expensive but as we were on a budget we were happy to use the metro and it was fairly easy to use. A day travel pass was about 15 aed (just under £3). Lunch and dinner looked lovely at the hotel however if you are not half board and watching your budget drinks and food is quite expensive at the hotel. There are however loads of restaurants along the walk to suit different budgets. The food court in Dubai mall is also great for families with lots of choice, something to suit everyone's taste and good if you don't want to spend too much. The only negative points I would make is that wifi is extortionately expensive at the hotel which in this day and age should be a free service especially for this standard of hotel. I was able to check in online free for my flight departure but was then told I had to pay to print out the boarding pass which although was only 2 aed (30p) this added charge is really unnecessary for a prestigious hotel like the Hilton and it's little things like this which can spoil what would otherwise be a superb hotel. Having said that however I would definitely return here.
