We stayed at this hotel for 8 nights and loved every minute of it. We were there celebrating my daughters 1st birthday. They surprised us with a lovely yummy birthday cake and cookies on the house!
Pros: Staff very friendly, hotel is very clean, rooms are a very good size with lovely bathrooms. Lots of lovely restaurants to eat at. Buffet breakfast was amazing every morning. Pools and spa facilities are the best i've ever experienced.

Cons: Only con was that our room wasnt ready on our arrival and we had a 1 and a half hour wait before we got into our room but the staff were very apologetic and it was well worth the wait.

Stayed for three nights. Excellent property w.r.t. Location and amenities. Has friendly staff. Though had to wait long during check-in, they responded positively and promptly on my feedback. The rooms are well furnished and has good bathrooms.

Loved the Wox restaurant....it serves far east cuisine. Recommend trying Nonya chicken and also sticky rice with fresh mango! Sushi Bar was not that great......still prefer Nobu's.

Stayed at the Hyatt for 2 nights in october with my wife and 2 kids.
The hotel was one of the best hotels we have stayed at ever. Upon arrival I asked if they had connecting rooms - there were non available at the time but the very proffessional girl at the check in desk very kindly upgraded us so we had 2 huge connecting rooms - it was FAB. Rooms and bathrooms were spotless, beds very good og we had a nice view of Dubai Creek. Only minor thing to complain about was the dusty windows - but being in the desert that is hardly surprising. Rooms facing the Creek are considered the best - I personally think the rooms facing the Burj Khalifa would have the best view as you can watch the light spectacle at night. Rooms facing the Creek have a nice view at day time but who stays in the room when all of Dubai is waiting to be explored ?
Eating at the Grand Hyatt will have you spoilt for choices - there are many restaurants - quite expensive but this being a true 5 star hotel what would you expect ? We ate at the The Market Cafe which was perfect with kids - there were 5 different serving stations serving Italian, Indian etc. Prices were very reasonable - kids meals, ice cream etc. all half price. There is also an Italian café and deli with fantastic pastries and gelatin - it is not to be missed.
Outside there is a huge tropical garden with pools, pool bar etc. Again everything spotless and very well maintained. Kids section had 3 slides and lots of other stuff to keep the kids busy.
Overall The Grand Hyatt is a very impressive hotel - fantastic service minded staff and overall pleasant and safe - please go you won't be disappointed.

I stayed for 8 nights for a bussines trip, I didn't visit much of the hotel, only the restaurants. This hotel is real five stars, the room service cleans the room twice a day. Complementary fruits and mineral water were provided, ice cubes were also availble upon request. Although the hotel is big eight elevators from each side wouldnever let you wait for a minute to have one. For my room 1117, it was big with all the amenities (even a printer) overlooking the gardens and the swimming poolsand what I liked the best was its big bathroom, the biggest I ever had with a body body balance which I used to weight my bags at departure as well. The breakfast was rich with tastifull fruits, if you stayed there don't miss their yougort as well, so fresh. We had our meetings at al-mezian hall, which again was perfect, quite and comfy and they offered so much in the coffee breaks. The hotel is not in the downtown area, but taxis are on the door with the regular price, it costs 20-25 DHS to get to the shopping area. The metro station is not very far, I used it once, but not recommended if you have luggage or if it is hot. I would highly recommend this hotel.
