“Great location, delicious food and helpful staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 January 2012

The hotel is less then 5-minute walk from gorgeous Imam Square. The staff is extremely gentle and helpful and the rooms are clean and spacious. It has one of the best restaurants in Esfahan. The place complements the magical ambiance that you will find Esfahan. Highly recommended!

“excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 January 2012

recently i stayed in setareh hotel in Esfahan,. formerly known as Sadaf hotel. Excellent hotel with professional staff and service. The room are oke though some single rooms are less attractive ( windows are very high) The toilets, showers look renovated. very fresh and clean appearance. The restaurant was not really good. The food was too fat. The breakfast is very good. All the food is fresh and you have great choice. There are a few little foodshops near the hotel.
The most attractiver point of this hotel is the location. Only 5 minutes walking form the famous Imam square. This is really fantastic because this is one of the main reasons we visit Esfahan!

Room Tip: room with view on the mosques

“Excellent hotel”

The Setareh (which used to be the Sadaf) is just a few minutes walk from the wonderful Imam Square. It's clean, with friendly, helpful staff and an excellent breakfast buffet. The bathroom was spotless, well-equipped and had been recently refurbished.

“Clean and comfortable, and very well located”

We enjoyed our stay here, positioned as it is a short walk from the main square in Isfahan. A range of shops and eateries are all along the road where the hotel is located so convenient for an evening stroll. A smart rooftop terrace restaurant is a nice touch too. The breakfasts here were the most varied we had in all our 4 Iranian hotels, and the staff are polite and quite efficient (though not overly friendly I would say). The TV in the room had 3 English language channels though they were often scrambled so not possible to view. Rooms are nicely decorated - ours had a leak in the bathroom though, which the staff did not manage to fix whilst we were there. English langauge papers in the lobby another touch you can't rely on in Iranian hotels.

“Great Location and Roof Terrace”

We were pretty pleased with our stay at this hotel. It is 5 min walk from the main square (which is a great place to loose hours strolling and meeting strangers).
The rooms were a little bit like stepping into the 1980's but quite nice. Enjoyed breakfast and the staff were helpful. We also got a great rate exchanging money (much better than the banks!)
Isfahan was an absolute highlight of our travels in Iran. The hotel arranged for us to have a guide for the day to explain the history of the city. They arranged Jafar Torabi - The Esfahan Guide - and he was great. I would highly recommend doing this.
The highlight of the hotel was definitely the roof top restaurant and smoking Shisha there!
