I stayed at Hasht Behesht for 2 night. A great family run hotel with very helpful and pleasant staff. Airport pick and drop was provided for 80'000 Rials (Just below 7 USD) each way which was very convenient and very good value too. At the airport, I was greeted by Kousha Kayani. What a warm welcome and what a source of local information, Had very good and informative chat with Mr Kayani on our way back to the hotel.
I was shown to my room by Mr Kayani himself and he made sure I was happy with everything. Rooms are very tastefully decorated with quality and convenience in mind. A little kitchen is provided in all the rooms and toilets were modern and clean. Also provided were a tele with some english channels, an individually controlled aircon, an electronic safe and all the toiletries, even individually packed new tooth brushes and those mini toothpastes :) Just goes to show how they have tried to make it convenient for travellers.
Room rates were exactly as described at their website (512'000 Rials/ approx 42USD for a single) which is very reasonable in Iran for a hotel of such good standards. Breakfast was provided for 50'000 Rials (Approx 4USD) and was very good value.
Location: As good as it could ever get, during my 2 days stay at Esfahan, I never had to take a taxi, everything was walking distance, 15 minutes most. Hasht Behesht palace, Chehel Satoon, Naqsh-e-Jahan Square, Ali Qapu Palace, Shah mosque, various little bazars for shopping all within easy reach by foot (Word of warning, In bazars, don't go walking around too far, they are covered and connected, you could easily be lost inside walking in the wrong direction ending up too far from the main area). Definately took away alot of stress of time keeping and having to take taxis trying to see everything in a short time. Plenty of places to eat around and also, Although I did not try the food at the hotel other than breakfast, it was reasonably priced.
Definately a very pleasant stay, Got to meet a few members of Mr Kayani's family and what a nice and hospitable bunch they are, really nice and helpful people.
I would definately stay here again if I ever visited Esfahan. Infact, I would only stay at Hasht Behesht, such was the quality of service, really impressive.
