The service here was terrible, and the management ripped us off by several hundred dollars for our four night stay here in December. We also narrowly avoided bacterial infection from the pool.
We'd recommend seriously looking at other options. First of all, you must pay the full amount up front, so you lose all leverage if something goes wrong, as happened in our case. We had booked beforehand for two neighboring junior suites. We explained to Villa Santi that the rooms had to be next to each other as we had two small kids and they needed to be right next door. Villa Santi acknowledged that. Then, when we arrived, they said they had no neighboring rooms and even though we were there for four days, made no attempt to organize things so we could get what we had paid for already. Instead we all went into one room. Yet when we checked out, they REFUSED to return our money for the second room -- which in fact they sold to somebody else!
Don't be fooled by Villa Santi's postings on Trip Advisor in response to other reviews -- this ISN'T any sign that they care about customer service. Mr. Viengsay Souvannaseng, director of sales, never responded to our e-mails or phone calls after we checked out, as we sought compensation for paying for four nights for a second room we never used. Neither did Mr. T. Jude Ayeng, room division manager. They already had our money and they couldn't care less about responding.
Another warning: if you do decide to go, despite this warning, be very careful with the pool. My wife told me and the kids not to put our heads under water the first evening when we went for a dip. Good thing we followed her advice because the next day we noticed the water was seriously suspect -- it wasn't clear. Sure enough, later that day the pool was SHUT DOWN FOR BACTERIAL INFESTATION, and remained so the rest of our stay. We heard from another family how some of them fell ill after swimming in the pool. They didn't replace the water though! They were trying to TREAT it. Again, it shows their mercenary nature -- they didn't want the expense of replacing the entire pool water.
Be warned. Villa Santi may look nice, but has very serious problems.
