Paid 100.000 kip for a spotless twin room with a/c and satellite TV. The guesthouse is a beautiful colonial house that looks recently refurbished. Rooms are well furnished and have a small balcony. We stayed in two previous guesthouses before staying in this one (and visited 10 more) and really, this was the best one, considering you get a clean spacious room with a/c, private bathroom and helpful and pleasant staff (and you get two bottles of mineral water daily and the room the room cleaned).

This was our first time visiting Laos and Luang Prabang and we were recommended to stay here at Villa Shayada. Very nice and clean and excellent service. Though the windows don't have screens or glass, it is a very nice authentic Laotian home and let's you feel you are truly in Laos. The experience at the guest house was excellent and we would recommend it to anyone even with a toddler, our daughter was 4 years old at the time of the visit.

Phenomenal location. Balcony surrounded by palm trees, quiet, yet only a few minutes walk to the waterfront, market, restaurants. The owner spoke perfect English and was very helpful in arranging tours and making recommendations. The staff was genuinely friendly, they were excited to sit down with us and talk, and you could tell they cared and were truly grateful to have us stay there. Brand new, the rooms were nicely decorated and spotless, hot water, A/C, balcony, and housekeeping came everyday. The best place I stayed in while traveling through SE Asia. (stayed 4 nights)
