We unfortunately booked five nights in advance via Agoda at this hotel and couldn't cancel.

We booked once of the standard rooms. It was filthy, cobwebs everywhere, bugs in the beg and had dirty sheets. Also the lampshade was cellotaped to the frame and hanging off. When we pointed this out to the staff they just shrugged their shoulders and acted like we were the problem.

There is no space in the room except for the bed, no closet and the shower is right beside the toilet. The rooms make Japanese hotel rooms look massive.

It's a shame really because outside it's beautiful and it could be nice if they had bigger cleaner rooms.

This place is more like a $10 hostel. It's so overpriced even by Western standards.

The hotel can be described as a glorified guesthouse. The rooms are similar to guesthouses, small rooms, small bathroom but clean finishes; and the area outside of the hotel are spacious with good rest areas. Hotel is on the other side of the night bazaar, in the opposite end from restaurant row but Luang Prabang is only about 2km long so that means you need to walk 5 minutes to get to restaurant row. It may be better for people who like things quieter although Luang Prabang doesn't get excessively noisy. My biggest concern with hotel is that the ceilings are paper thin so try to ask for rooms on the top floor; and during my stay there was a lot of construction in and around the hotel that began before 8am so I hope you are an early bird.
