With very little choice of direct flights out of Finland on the 23rd, we went for a flight to Monastir, and chose the Mövenpick in Sousse as part of a western chain hoping it would be a fair standard and we could get a bit of winter sun (we did).
Taxi from Monastir aiport to Sousse is 30 Dinars, or 45 dinars between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
There is a cashpoint (ATM) 20 yards to your left as you exit baggage claim.
Or the hotel will arrange a car to pick you up for 130 Dinars, A bargain at twice the price, which can be arranged, they´ll pick you up in a limo for 200+ dinars, :-0
It´s a very nice hotel, bricks and mortar are a bit souless, but the staff are polite and do a good job. You could eat your food off the floor - armies of cleaners are constantly washing the floors.
Aircon works with the balcony door shut - incase you´re wondering why it´s not telling you the temperature. With the balcony door open we could hear the hum of aircon units on the roof opposite.
Bed was excellent, duvet a bit light for the time of year. Water pressure was a bit low in the shower, but I´ve had worse. Shaving mirror was positioned for somone slightly shorter than five foot nothing. But these are trivial things.
The beach directly infront of the hotel is immaculate, though too cold to go into the sea. Sand carefully raked each day and guards posted at the boundaries, presumably to stop the locals wandering in and throwing litter everywhere like they have done on the rest of the beach all the way in to the city.
The gym is located on the ground floor and poorly signposted from inside the building, but clearly signposted if you approach form the outside. Several machines out of order or missing parts. If anyone finds a sturdy teaspoon in the rowing machine bit of the multigym, it came from room 8152. :-))
The heated spa pool is open to spa users, but also to hotel guests in the Winter months (IIRC 07-10 and 16-18, but don´t quote me on that). My better half had a massage in the spa, she said it was good but not quite the same as a physio massage - not that it was expected to be.
Buffet breakfast with omelette bar blokey and another guy doing crepes. Fair choice for carnivores, not so great for vegetarians. Bread and butter pudding made with croissants and pain-au-chocolat was fantastic so I can´t complain.
We ate outside the hotel a couple of times and like others found the local grub a bit rough, so we had dinner in the hotel´s restaurants four times in 1 week. Japanese restaurant twice (excellent), the Spanish restaurant once (good), and the Tunisian buffet on the final night (good).
Again, very little choice on the menus for vegetarians, but after some negotiation, the Japanese restaurant offered cucumber & avocado sushi and vegetable tempura both really nice - the Spanish restaurant offered mushroom risotto again really good - all would make good additions to their respective menus.
Guests in executive rooms on the 8th floor (top floor) get free WiFi (passcode 1234512345, the download speed was as low as 100 kbps and at best - after midnight - 800 kbps).
Huge number of TV channels (about 80?) but mostly Arabic - English language there was Al Jazeera, Euronews and BBC World - middle east flavours of the latter two. No pay TV, so we were glad of the Galaxy Tab / VPN / iPlayer in the nights.
The hotel is excellent and might be suitable if you come in the summer and don´t leave the hotel grounds, just a shame the town doesn´t match up to the hotel´s standards.
Room Tip: The travel agent we bought the flights from (Detur) could only offer us "city view" rooms...

Dear Guest,
We sincerely would like to thank you for taking the time to share your constructive feedback from your last stay at the Mövenpick Resort & Marine Spa Sousse.
We are very pleased to read all the positive comments you mention, but also to notice your pointing out of what could be improved; please be assured that we will share your points with the respective team members. It is clear for instance that we should ensure that the way to our Fitness club is better signposted than it is now. We will also work on equipment maintenance within the club, and are already setting up a better in-room TV system to enhance our guests' experience.
We thank you again for your kindness and look forward to welcoming you again at our property, perhaps next summer as you suggested.
