I stayed at this hotel for a few nights in May 2009. It was about a 5 minute drive to the beach/boardwalk in Constanta. It was about a 10 minute drive to downtown Constanta. I stayed here because my boyfriend's family knew the owners.
Our room was HUGE, with a Queen size bed, tv, build in wardrobes, private bathroom... all the amenities you would find in an American hotel. My only grip was that there was no iron or ironing board, but I learned this is not standard in European hotels, as they want you to use their drycleaning services.
The staff was friendly; however, the parking lot and entry to the building were not convenient. You had to wait until the front desk clerk noticed you at the gate before the parking lot gate was opened. Then there were stairs leading into the lobby, which where you are carrying lots of heavy luggage, is not fun! [Note, this building is not handicap accessible].
There is a restaurant on the rooftop, which I would recommend. If you sit outside you can have a great view of the Black Sea and the beach, as well as the local area. There is a local seagull "Costica" who will fly in and land on the ledge, waiting for some of your french fries! I fed him many of my fries and he was very friendly. You will notice the pink marking on his beak! He has been coming to this ledge for years and is very friendly!
Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.
