The Rex is a clean, well-maintained facility. While not on the Danube, it does have it's own cruise ship on the river. The desk staff was friendly and helpful. Clean, well-furnished lobby. There is a bar in the lobby and an adjacent restaurant. Breakfast buffet is included in the rate and is more than adequate. Room was spacious, but spartan. Air conditioning was available but too weak to provide much cooling; consequently, all windows had to be open at night to provide any circulation. The Rex is on a main street and there was quite a bit of street noise. Then there are the abandoned dogs who sleep all day under the cars and then commune with one another during the night. Bed was comfortable and clean. Bath was also clean with the usual array of toiletries. Overall, a very nice place to stay, but be prepared for open windows and some noise from the street in the summer.
