I simply loved this place! It feels ancient, but that just adds to the character of the place. Our room was spacious and definitely non-smoking which is rare in Romania. It is perfectly situated on the main square and within walking distance of all the old town's attractions. Best of all, it was reasonably priced.
The restuarants in the basement is great for dinner as well, serving all the local specialities. Highly recommended!

I stayed here with my sister in June 2009. We arrived in Brasov without a place to stay and had some trouble finding a place, but another guest house we visited called them and got us a room. Despite the city being busy, they still gave us a good rate and the staff were very friendly. The location is excellent, right across the street from a central square, within walking distance of everything we wanted to see. Trying to find the parking, even with their good directions, was a bit of a problem but maybe because I was picturing a parking garage and not a little shed. We were given a very nice room with skylights, and the man at reception gave us some advice on what to see and do, and seemed genuinely pleased to have two more tourists in his city. It was a really nice experience and I would definitely stay there again!

My hosts in Brasov made my reservations at this hotel and I now see that they knew exactly what they were doing. This is a fine little hotel! It is right on the main city square and the location could not be better.The rooms, though, are quiet, clean and well-equipped. The staff is professional and ready to serve in any way. I spent three nights here and could not be more pleased.

Breakfast is taken down some very cool spiral stairs in what would appear to be an old wine cellar. Everything in the hotel is quaint and cozy. The hotel has an adjoining restaurant that has been serving food since the 1300's. My friends tell me that it is very good, but unfortunately my schedule did not allow me to experience it for myself. Maybe next time!

Brasov has grown since the revolution and welcoming many Western influences including a Ramada on the edge of town. But why would you want to stay in an American box when you could stay here? I hope to be back in Brasov soon, and I would not even think about looking for a different hotel. Good price, service and location. What's not to like?

A Romanian friend recommended this hotel and we were not disappointed.

Location: in the center of Brasov on a main road, adjacent to the central market. Busy during daytime quiet at night.
Unfortunately the hotel does not have enough parking space so you probably need to find a space on the side streets or a (open air) parking lot, all paying.

Staff at reception: all very very friendly, professional and helpful, they speak good English too.
They make you feel welcome and show a genuine smile.

Room: we got an upgrade and stayed in one of the 10 new suites/ apartments with view over the market place and double glazing which does help to keep out the noise of the cars.
The room has high ceiling with wooden beams and is carpeted. A large, tiled, bathroom with walk-in shower, washbasin, WC and bidet, hairdryer, good towels but as in so many hotelrooms nowadays no peg... Toiletries provided but I recommend bringing your own.
Big bed with good mattress and good pillows, bedside tables with lights, 2 easy chairs with table, desk and chair, flatscreen TV.
We had a good nights' rest.

Breakfast: I would say typically Romanian: bread that seemed day old, luckily there was a toaster, cheeses and cold cuts, some kind of sugary juice, cereal, jogurt and fruit salad.
Hot breakfast: should have been scrambled egg, sausages and ?, waiter was slow with refilling although about 10 persons having breakfast at the same time so food went quick.

We had a short but relaxing stay here.
I do recommend this hotel for families and or friends travelling together.
