“Excellent B&B, great location, friendly hosts, we'll be back!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

We stayed at this B& B for 2 nights and wished we had longer, we were spoilt. The location is unbeatable, you are just off the main street with all the shops and the nice restaurants, yet in a quiet residence. We struggled to find the right street to access, but the owner came walking to help us get to the house, as it is in an area with restricted access, which means almost no traffic passes by the house. The rooms are all apartments in fact, with living, kitchen, bath, bedroom, very originally decorated as the owners have an interest in art and antiques. Some people said the price is a bit high, but then Brasov is expensive and you get an apartment here for the price of a hotel room somewhere else. We chatted with the owners several times, they are always there if you need them, but never intruding if the guests want privacy. We travelled with a baby and asked for a travel cot and they bought one for us, as we were the first ones to request one! Breakfast- fantastic, plenty of choice between natural (with fruit, cereal, orange juice, tea/coffee etc.) and a more 'meat and cheese' option- more than any of us could eat, so you won't be hungry. Our own minor gripe were the curtains, our room didn't have blackouts, so we were waken up by the light coming through in early morning, but other than that, everything was fantastic, one of the best places we've stayed in. Something else, owners speak English, French, German and Romanian, and Gregortz is a fantastic guide to the local attractions, if you need any help in planning your day. Go to Casa Rozelor, you will be very pleased.

“Gem in the heart of Brasov”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2011

Casa Rozelor was fantastic! The room was spacious, clean, and full of character---a mix of modern and traditional decor. It's very close to the center of town, less than a five minute stroll, but tucked away enough to be quiet at night. It was a real oasis for us. We appreciated having kitchen facilities in our room---it meant that we could have that quick lunch or cup of coffee or tea without having to sit down at a cafe. For breakfast, you make a selection from a small menu and it is delivered from the cafe next door, which was great. It meant that you got breakfast even if you weren't yet ready to face the world. All in all, a great experience. One warning, try to get a map / directions before you get there. Every time we took a cab, it left us off a block or two from the hotel even though it's possible to pull right up to it.

“Unique and spacious-the best in Brasov”

After researching all of the places in Brasov, we decided on Casa Rozelor for its uniqueness, location and great reviews. Upon our arrival and all throughout our two-night stay we were absolutely thrilled with this hotel! Modern art matched with historic architecture gave the room we were in a different feel hard to find anywhere else. The room was extremely spacious, had a separate bedroom and a wonderfully modern bathroom with all the amenities of a luxury hotel. The breakfasts were also tasty and there were a few different options--all delivered to your door in the morning.

Situated in an excellent location, the hotel is right around the corner to the main square in Brasov and very close to the Black Church. The owners of Casa Rozelor were very, very helpful and spent a lot of time talking with us about which castles/fortresses to see. We always felt welcome and would absolutely stay here again!

“A unique gem”

We booked the Casa Rozelor for 6 nights after reading the excellent reviews on tripadvisor and we were certainly not disappointed.
This is a very special place situated right in the heart of the old town of
Brasov. It's a very old building that has been renovated with great care and taste mixing modern with old.
Our room was more like an apartment and was beautifully designed, very comfortable with flatscreen TV and wifi. There was also a delightful kitchen with oven, fridge, toaster, coffee machine etc. A local supermarket was just a few seconds away.
The owners are a charming couple who could not have been more helpful. They arranged a taxi to and from the airport and a day's outing for us. They also suggested many interesting places we could visit and great restaurants for dinner
We highly recommend this place but as it only has 5 rooms book early so you don't miss the experience

“Great place in a great location.”

We stayed in one of the three apartments - ours had a loft bedroom with wrought iron stair case and a 500 year old wall. The apartments were converted from a merchants home, and is done up with taste, and we really liked the decor. Having a kitchen and access to laundry was really great, as we stayed a week. It was also very near the main square, but in a quiet street. As the apartment was set back abit from the street, it was really quiet, and we felt really safe as well. The price also includes a very generous breakfast, which is delivered. Gregor and Christina, the owners, were really lovely and helpful. We loved Brasov and staying at Casa Rozelor. Highly recommended.
