Comfortable and clean room with lovely sea-view from balcony. Nice pool but a little cold at this time of year. Friendly reception staff. Breakfast not very good - coffee weak and disappointing as I expected yoghurt and honey. Water machine didn't work so I couldn't get any cold water. Orange juice terrrible. However, I would stay there again as it was good value and we were happy about everything but the breakfast. The only other disappointing thing was that there were no soaps in bathroom and towels were not replaced regularly.

We've just got back from a week's holiday at the Alekta Hotel after reading mixed reviews about it on tripadvisor. We thought the room was of a very good standard for a 3star room, we loved the wetroom style shower. It was also very clean and the whole hotel was well maintained (including the small pool area). The receptionist was very helpful giving us information about buses into Varna etc and the breakfast was basic but again good value for money. There was always fresh watermelon, salad, eggs and breads available. This hotel is perfect for young couples who are quite fit and don't mind the steep walk along a crumbling path to the beach. There are good transport links and a supermarket just along the road. There are some lovely restaurants in walking distance (along the sea garden) but there are no street lights in places so bring a torch. We loved Villa Roma, you can get a delicious 5* meal for 2 for around £15. We had a great stay!

This hotel is a perfect 3 star, it is clean, friendly and inviting. The hotel is 1 minute from the bus stop going to Varna (5 mins) or Golden sands resort (15 mins) and buses cost 1Lv (~40p) and 3Lv (£1.20) respectively. I would recomend you take a walk through the park into Varna it takes ~30 mins but has a lovely view of the black sea as you walk along.
The hotel has a lovely clean swimming pool which gets sun all day long. There is free wireless throughout the hotel. Breakfast is a bit weak but food is so cheap in Bulgaria this should not sway your decision.

A very clean out off town hotel with a lovely pool and friendly staff. The breakfast is a bit scant but adequate to start the day off. Whilst the hotel is quiet, the side road is NOT and earplugs are useful for a good nights sleep. The local Picadilly Mall has a supermarket and a good Italian restaurant. Across the main road next to the Impala Hotel is a really superb restaurant called Wine & Dine Home. Wonderful food, not expensive and highly recommended. The road to the beach is steep but there is a path and its good exercise. The walk to Varna is recommended as the cliff top path is both safe and easy walking. It takes about 30mins gentle strolling to reach the town and if you are tired the return bus fare is only 1lev.
