“Excellent in the low season”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

If you think of finding a place in Yalta for peaceful rest far from the noisy disko-bars this is certainly the place to consider. The hotel is big and full of people in the summer and quite yet cosy in the autumn. Built 1977 the hotel is yet modern and is the biggest tourist center in Crimea. And I think is the best one as well.
We've been here in the beginning of the November and in the beginning of the low season (starting since 1 Nov). The breakfast buffet meals were wonderful with a lot of options, even the diet table, nicely served. A lot of natural food makes it easier to feed children.
The staff was friendly and professional. Room was neat and clean, and though we only tried the Standard type of rooms I believe the more expensive rooms should be even nicer.
The hotel is situated in the heart of a beautiful park, on the slope, with a splendid view of Yalta and the sea. It has its own beach, swimming pool, gym, beach cafes.
There are 3 more restaurants in the hotel. So you will have other options for eating.
Italian "A Tavola" was our favorite.

Room Tip: Corner suits have a sea view, rooms on the north side are more far away from the sea.

“Mega hotel complex”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 October 2011

Here with a group. I would have preffered a smaller hotel in easier walking distance of eth centre, but having said that this place was very good. Staff tried hard to please and rooms etc all modern and clean.

Swimming pool excellent!

Buffet breakfast good, but massive dining room with loads and loads of guests, so a bit daunting (and they cleared your cutlery, cup etc away if you went to get some more food!).

Would be ideal for a family with children.

“Great for Couples with Kids”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 September 2011

It's 1950's soviet style has been upgraded and the price is right! Lots of restaurant choices with kids' play areas everywhere. We could eat while kids played nearby and still had half a dozen options. Beautiful location with gorgeous views from the rooftop restaurant. Room quality depends on price you pay. Our Junior Suite "B" (cheaper option) had a table, desk and wardrobe that were a bit dated but included other updated amenities (minibar, flat screen, safe and even ambient blue "mood lighting" options). Friendly, English speaking staff available when needed, and always a friendly greeting from the housekeeping crews!

“Amazing views and location for a great price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 July 2011

Stayed here from June 3rd until June 10th. Paid around $80 per night with breakfast included. We asked to get then highest floor facing downtown Yalta (best views). Got the room on the 8th floor. The view from the balcony was amazing. The breakfast was good, however i would not spend the money on lunch or dinner just go eat somewhere else, way to over priced for the quality. The hotel staff tried to be nice but there are some angry ones in a bunch. The bar downstairs always runs out of cheap beer by 7pm so that they can sell the more expensive heinekin. Beach is not to far from the hotel but the rocks are new and are very sharp and it hurts the feet to get in and ouf of the water. The pool is Olympic size and clean and warm. However the views of the abandon hotel next door cheapens the views. I would have given this hotel excellent rating however the beds in our rooms where horrible. The beds where very small and the mattreses where the worst I have ever slept on. Ask right away for a square pillow cause the standard pillows SUCK!!!.

Room Tip: Ask for highest floor facing downtown Yalta
