I usually dont write bad reviews, but this time i think i must do it, so others dont have their day lost as us. We booked with brigita burum for 1 day at dubrovnik 2 months earlier. Many bread and breakfast didn't want to book because was just one day and was so early to book, but Brigita did. We was very happy because we read some reviews at tripAdvisor and seemed like a good BnB. Some reviews said about noisy rooms, so we write in the email for a quiet room. Brigita confirmed our reservation and everything was ok.
When we arrived we were very tired because we could not get a cabin in the ferry from italy to croatia, so we did not sleep well. When we arrive, we met brigita burum and she told us that as we asked for a quiet room, she moved us for a quieter BnB of a friend of her because she has a neighbor that works whith a saw and he makes a lot of noise. (is strange that if your guest want to rest, you need to move them to other guesthouse !!!).
We told her that we would like to stay with her, that the noise was not a big problem, but she told us that she already have rent our room for other guest so we need to move.
We tought "if she is moving us, it will be the same quality or better for the same price, there is no problem also".
So she called the friend and he come to meet us. We arrived at her friend guesthouse and indeed it was closer to the old center of drubrovnik, but the room...
It has no fridge (as said on her site), no space for our lugage (i am not kidding, see the pictures).
The owner (brigita´s friend) has another room but was 20 euros plus. We were very tired, and it was just for one day, so we decided to rest and not come back to protest with brigita. We need to beg as a favor is the owner allow us to use the other room fridge to keep some yogurts and milk, as they didn't have breakfast. The owner said ok while he didn't get anybody else to the 20 euro plus room.
The bathroom was very very very slippery and it did not have a box or curtains, so the entire bathroom get wet when you take a shower. no internet, there were some iron bars getting out of the ground like spikes in the room and in the bathroom as if the room was not finished construction.
We slept for 2 hours to get some rest and went to the city center to enjoy our only day in dubrovnik. When we got back, the owner (brigitas friend) have rented the other room to a bunch of teenagers that were listening music and drinking, so was very noisy (was not fault of ther kids, they were just enjoying their time), our yogurts and milk was on a cool box with melted ice in the door of our tiny room, and when my girlfriend went to take a shower, there were no more hot water in the shower. She was so nervous and in pain that she started cry out in panic. Nobody wants to rent a room, paying 60 euros, to cry in the bathroom so disapointed as she was.
Brigita Burum was not honest with us. She shouldn't confirmed our reservation if she didn't want to keep it until the end. What happened is that she keep our reservation and when somebody else reserved for more days in the same period, she moved us (the "just one day couple") to some other bad and breakfast and didn't care about ruining our trip. She ruined our day at dubrovnik, don't let her do it to yours. And a message to you Brigita: "Tourists are not idiots, internet is here, so we can advise other travellers about bad owners like you"
