I stayed 3 nights in that new hostels, very nice place, so friendly staff, clean, warm (in winter), the things are new mean pleasent to use, excelllent sofa to watch tv, the modern style inside perfect made for that kind of place. One bakery 5 meters nearby the hostel (perfect for bread lover like me), one supermarket 50 meters nearby the hostel. You have 2 tramways stations around the hostel.Wifi in hostels. All backpackers can go blind there. If not i will have more space my next stay in Zagreb....
Wonderfull... i have no word to say:) everything was realy good, they were so friendly:) 4 nights at funk lounge, it was like to 4 seconds for me:) next time realy just in Funk Lounge...
I spent one week here while attending the Zagreb International Medical Summit with several other students in November. The hostel is new and very clean, all the furnishings are spot less. The 6 person room I stayed in had 3 bunk beds and a nice bathroom with a heated towel rack. There's a lounge area upstairs with a fully equipped kitchen; refrigerator, microwave, oven, stove, and a nifty grill. There's also a new washing machine in the laundry room so laundry is a charm. There's also a flat screen tv and comfy couches. There's a supermarket close by and its also on a main street so the tram is easily accessible. The staff were super cool and friendly and very helpful when it came to recommending places to check out at night. The reception also provides organized tours of the city via bike or segway, and you can also rent a bike on your own and roll through the city. The bikes are new and in mint condition with convenient baskets for carrying around your goods. They also organize trips to the Plitvice Lakes.
We spent a wonderful 3 nights at Funk Lounge.
As we were staying there in November there was hardly anyone else staying there, which meant we had a fantastic 6 bed dorm to ourselves. This dorm had very comfortable beds and a great bathroom - including heated towel rack (luxurious when living on a budget!)
There was a great common room with very comfortable sofa and flat-screen TV, which we had to ourselves most of the time.
The kitchen had every thing we needed including kettle and microwave. With a supermarket across the street it was very easy to self-cater.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful
Cant recommend this place highly enough..
