“We LOVED IT!”

We spent a week at Zeleni Kut in Sept. 2011. Our room was on the river side and we spent a fair amount of our spare time on our small patio. We loved sleeping and waking to the gentle sound of the waterfalls. The room was spacious, modern and immaculately clean. We dined on the patio for breakfast and dinner with many choices from a interesting menu. The staff was personable and extremely helpful with menu choices or any question or request. We were on a tour with Huck Finn tours or we may have never located this delightful spot. We would recommend it to anyone who enjoys the tranquility of a river in a quiet setting.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river.

“Fantastic setting, Friendly & Efficient Staff, Great Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 August 2009

Our recent hol certainly lived up to it's expectations and the hotel had a good deal to do with that. The staff are wonderful and the setting is fantastic. There are kayaks on offer to use around the river which is right by the hotel or you can just swim in it. It's really clean and warm. There's a volleyball court and a barbeque / bar area - not sure if it's always manned. The aircon in the rooms isn't very efficient as could be said of the fridges. The food is fantastic & very plentiful. We were on an activity package but I noticed that you could do some of these activities as a normal guest if there was space. We would certainly go again.

“Clear Rivers Adventure”

We had a fantastic time here at the beginning of August, booked through Hidden Croatia on a weeks Kayaking adventure with their Croatian partner Huck Finn. One of those pleasant surprises, hotel was far better than we expected, great location on a crystal clear river, smart comfortable clean rooms and very friendly staff. If you are on a package evening meals were fine, good quality ingredients and if you like pancakes or ice cream a good place to stay. Hotel also has an a la carte menu with a much wider choice and was very popular with the locals, good for lunch on a rest day and reasonably priced.

“Kayaking Adventure”

Stayed for one week at the Zeleni Kut on a kayaking holiday booked through the Adventure Company. Nice family hotel in the middle of nowhere. Good beer and ice cream. Evening meals are adequate, breakfast is nothing special. Rooms are good - especially on the river side with views of the waterfalls from the balconies.

“Fantastic Family Hotel in Central Croatia”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 June 2008

We stayed at Zeleni Kut (Translation - The Green Corner) for a week on a trip "Clear Rivers Country" booked with Huck Finn Adventure Travel. When we arrived we were pleasantly surprised, it is a modern family run Hotel with it's own Restaurant. And despite arriving just after 23:00 we were offered food before we went to bed.

We were very lucky, the view was simply amazing from our room. 2 sets of French doors opened onto a balcony over looking the River. The room itself was spot less with a mini-bar and a really good shower. It is all very modern. Not all the rooms are the same, most have a good view but not all of them have a balcony.

The Hotel is pretty much in the middle of no where, the train station and the local shop are not to far away, maybe 2km. It is about 1 hour drive from Zagreb on the toll motorway, the roads are very good and the hotel is sign posted from the main road and is easy to find. Plenty of parking.

We were part of an organised group, this was the perfect set up as you are close to the river but also a short drive to others for a different experience. The Hotel do have boats and other facilities you can use, and a trip on the river is well worth it. About 3km down stream there is a vollyball court set out in the middle of the River which was a lot of fun, but don't forget to bring your own ball! I would recommend coming here in a group with a guide as we did and using the Hotel as a base.

Over all we really enjoyed our stay here and would come back if we are ever in the area again.

  • Liked — The view was amazing, being able to see the waterfall from bed was very special
  • Disliked — The menu is a little limited, would benefit from local specials or Italian type dishes adding
