I randomly booked a double room with a day's notice based on a listing of private accommodation on Zagreb's city's tourist info sites. Being in contact only by phone the night before to confirm the booking, I was very happy by the helpfulness of the owner. Upon arrival, I was impressed of the room, location (tram and night bus stop at your doorstep, cafés, supermarket), facilities, and the owner's sister-in-law who was filling in for him. Having a late afternoon flight on the day of departure, we could keep the room till 4pm as there was no following reservation which was great. Very good option for the price we paid for choosing private accommodation, and it certainly finished our Croatia-trip with a good feeling!

* Walking distance to sightseeing attractions as well as cafes, restaurants and shopping

* Apartments are very clean, beautifully furnished with all facilities included at a very affordable price

* Owner very friendly and helpful, able to speak English and offer assistance when required

* I very much look forward to my next stay at IIicki Place and thoroughly enjoyed my stay

We started interacting with Munira nearly 2 months in advance while planning our trip and she was very helpful.. there was a mixup in our train bookings from zagreb - venice and munira was kind enough to clarify train timings and availability. sadly we couldnt meet her as she was out of town when we reached..

the location is very central.. right next to a tram station and a 15 min walk to the main square.. the room overlooks a quaint fruit & veg market and you get everything as soon as you get down from the building.. a bakery and a supermarket.

the directions to get there were accurate.. just get to Britansrki 1 and ring "Serdarevic".

If you are looking for clean affordable accomodation in the city center this is a great option.

We found our room at Ilicki to be very clean, centrally located and super-reasonably priced given the kettle and fridge, comfy bed and clean modern bathroom - not to mention interesting view over a market square and tram stops nearby and walking distance to the main town.
The owners were very friendly.
There was a lack of signage when finding the place - it's definitely Number 1 Britanski Trg, you just have to buzz level 2!
Would definitely stay here again! Hvala!
