We were collected at 7.30 from the hotel about 1 hour from Scuba Bula by a quiet spoken local who drove us carefully to Scuba Bula..
Upon arrival it looked like a deserted resort, but walk towards the dive centre and there we found Adam, Sam, Appi and others. Our experience was of very calm serene people, instructing and guiding us in a very methodical manner. Two of us did the PADI discovery dive course. I was apprehensive about diving, but with Sam as our Dive master, never once was I concerned for our safety.
We had my daughter with us who was injured and unable to dive, so in between the dives, Appi took her for a snorkel and showed her the delights of the reef from the top.
This was an all day trip and we were taken back to our resort when we were ready, arriving back about 5.00 pm. A full day with everyone asleep for the journey back.
Take your own towel, everything else is provided that you may need. Fresh Pineapple and coconut to eat in rest breaks, along with coffee and tea.
We stayed and had lunch in the cafe at the resort where Scuba Bula is situated. The prices were good and the food honest and simple. A nice change to the resort where we were staying.
We would recommend this to anyone who loves diving. Do not expect luxury and opulence, but expect great people and quality diving.
The only thing that was a bit off putting was when we arrived people were smoking, and as we are non-smokers this was a bit uncomfortable for us. The smoking quickly stopped and we were made to feel very at ease.
