I would say in the states it would be about a 2 1/2 star hotel. They advertise wifi. It works about 10% of the time. The speed test I did produced 46kbs, basically dial up. There is no working AC in the rooms. So you must try to sleep with the windows open. The buses and cars go by all night and the trash trucks and street sweepers come by at about 2 am. So get a high room. The pool is closed and there is no exercise facility.
Staff is extremely nice and helpful. As to Uruguay standards it is one of the nicer hotels I've seen, but be prepared for emerging nation standards. Rooms are clean, beds are hard and pillows flat.
