This is the kind of hotel that you're not sure if it was good or not. For sure, the location is nice since it's walk distance from the whole old town (ciudad vieja). So you get planty of restaurants, a grocery store 2 mins away, etc.

I booked a room for 2 twin beds 1 month before. We arrive at 20:00, and was surprise to get a room with one single doubled-bed. The girl couldn't do anything so I had to sleep with my friend for the first night. We had to asked about 3 times the second day to get them splitted. Hot water in the shower was something pretty hard to get.

Otherwise it was okay: A/C, really cheap, beds we're okay, small TV with lots of channels and the girls under we're helping to point out what to do in town.

Very good location, close to Ciudad Vieja (Old City), and our room was very good, with a double matrimonial bed, air conditioner, LCD TV and frigobar. It was very clean too. The staff was very pacient, despite the fact thar they couldn't speak english. But they tryed to explain everything.
For this price? I think you woudn't find any hotels in Montevideo like this! Very good choice!

Localização muito boa, perto da Cidade velha. Nosso quarto era muito bom, com uma cama de casal confortável, ar condicionado, TV de LCD e frigobar. Era bem limpo também! O staff do hotel era muito paciente, apesar de não saber falar outro idioma, além do espanhol, mas tentaram explicar tudo!
Pelo preço? Não vai encontrar hotel melhor! Melhor custo/benefício!

Room was clean and tidy if a little dated. The hotel itself was pleasant and well decorated. There is a nice area for eating and relaxing, and computers for internet access. Be aware there is no lift - you will have to carry your bags up at least one flight of stairs. The staff were friendly and generally spoke at least enough English/we spoke enough Spanish to make check in simple (one woman was very fluent). Nothing much to add but I would recommend as a simple, clean and good value place to lay your head in Montevideo.

Extremely friendly staff! They arrange anything you ask for, e.g. bike rental. The hotel looks very nice and well maintained. Rooms are okay, not too big. Bathroom is tiny but clean.
