After a 12-13 hour drive from Paracas to Yucay, we arrived at Yucay and the hotel, which is off the street by one block (on the north side). Inside the four walls you find wonderful grounds; it is very quiet and we ended up with a room with tile flooring on the upper floor. We even had a balcony and enjoyed the stay. Breakfast was good.
We chose this hotel and location in the valley as it is not too far from Urubamba (which has a train station to Machu Picchu) and Cusco. However, we realized that driving to Cusco takes more than an hour and especially at night, driving on Peruvian roads is not fun - it is kind of dangerous. So this is more a logistics question: If you want to stay in the valley and explore Pisac, die Salinas von Maras und board the MP train in Urubamba, then this could be your location and property

The hotel is very clean, rooms large and breakfast excellent. The restaurant served good food. Overall great stay.

This hotel is an old monestary, It has all the quaint and charm of the region most people are looking for. It truly is a great option in the Sacred Valley. However, you must be very careful and not accidentily lock your travel friend in the room! This happened to my friends twice!
