“Beautiful surroundings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

This hotel is in beautiful surroundings, with mountains all around in the background. This is a great hotel to stop in before going to Macchu Picchu.
The rooms are nice, I would say 4* quality. We were only at this hotel for the night, so didn't get to look around at all things.
The breakfast was fine, but rushed for us. We ordered a snack box to have at lunchtime at Macchu Picchu which wasn't that good. Lots of food, but not great quality. However, the food we saw at Macchu Picchu wasn't much better and was pricey.

“Very nice, but hot water didn't work that well”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 January 2012

The landscape and hotel surroundings are beautiful, the Sacred Valley of the Incas is gorgeous, the hotel is located in a small village called Yanahuara, is easy to get there, The hotel is very beautiful, It has huge open areas and gardens. The breakfast is very good and the people working there were very nice and friendly. The rooms were well decorated, the bathrooms were big, but the hot water in the showers didn't work that well, sometimes I have to wait 5 minutes to get hot water.

Room Tip: The rooms in the upper part of the hotel are quitter than the ones close to front desk

“Large rooms, outstanding views, great landscaping”

This hotel is magnificent, worth going out of your way to visit let alone stay. We stayed as part of a small group before heading out very early to catch the Macchu Picchu train at Ollantaytambo.

Large rooms, large bathrooms. Unlike earlier reviewers, we had people above us but no problem whatsoever with noise. Instead we had - silence, and breathtaking views of the Andes.

Our room had a large bathroom and balcony, kettle (as opposed to the ubiquitous coffee machine so you can use boiling water for tea), wide-screen tv, wireless etc... . To get to it was a short walk through beautifully landscaped gardens - neither of us felt out of breath getting there (surely the altitude? The bell boys bring your luggage).

The dining room and large lobby is a beautifully crafted open-plan glass structure meaning that you soak up the hotel's stunning setting just sitting there. Breakfast is the usual buffet. Dinner was also amazing and worth staying in for but if you fancy getting out of the hotel there's a bar in the village which offers a more casual dining experience.

Truly a beautiful, calm, relaxing place to stay.

Room Tip: Any room would appear to be great - they all have amazing views. If you're bothered about the...

Completely surrounded by mountains, is the hotel where you can take on grass and looking at absolutely every star. It has an excellent staff service and the spa is great!

A double room with an outstanding view of the area. Breakfast included freshly made omelets, a variety of breads, local fruit, yogurt, meats and cheeses.
