“An Oasis in Lima”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 February 2012

My husband and our race team stayed here after we participated in the 2012 Dakar Rally so this hotel seemed like heaven after sleeping in tents and living in a bivouac for 15 days. However, it would have seemed heavenly anyway.

It is set right on the ocean in Miraflores, and there is a large grassy park just steps from the front entrance. The lobby is gorgeous, and the service is top-notch. We had an ocean view room, and the the view really was gorgeous.

The room was very large as was the bathroom. The bathroom had both a tub, a separate large shower, and....a sauna! Yes, it had a complete sauna in the bathroom. We were not expecting this as it wasn't mentioned in the room description. We didn't use it as we had just spent 15 days living in the heat, but had we been staying for an extended period in the winter, it would have been welcomed. The shower has one of those huge rain shower heads with water pressure that makes you feel as if you are showering under a waterfall. The shower gets a 10+ from me. Also the towels are thick, soft, but absorbent. Best hotel towels I have used in a while. Our team members all had rooms with bathtubs that really were more like hot tubs. Again this was not mentioned in the room description, but you could have easily fit 5 or 6 adults comfortably in the tub although filling it probably would have taken most of the night. The bed was very comfortable with down pillows and a down duvet. The AC worked great.

We ate breakfast on the top floor every morning which looked out over the ocean. The buffet was very extensive, but they close at 10am so don't try sneak in at 9:59am because they probably won't serve you.

The location is in a quiet residential area, yet close to action. We walked to a large touristy outdoor mall, and we had dinner within walking distance two nights we were there. We did eat dinner in their Japanese themed hotel restaurant, and it was quiet, but the food was good. If I ever come back to Lima, I would choose to stay here. They take very good care of the property both outside and in.

“The Most Luxurious Hotel in Lima”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This is the second time I have stayed in Lima at this hotel. I love this hotel and the staff plus all of the amenities.
From the minute I arrived to the day I departed to go to the Hotel Monasterio in Cusco I was treated like a queen.
The activities during the early Christmas holiday were spectacular as they had a beautiful performance of young musicians who were from a local music school. Their singing was simply magical and the entire performance was very lovely and simply perfect.

I also love their new restaurant just outside the main entrance.
The service was personal, sophisticated and yet very casual with great food. This is the best location in the entire city.
I look forward to coming back someday soon.

Room Tip: Try and ask for a Junior suite overlooking the ocean on a top floor. you will not be disappointed.

Dear guest,

Thank you so much for choosing Miraflores Park Hotel to celebrate a special date such as Christmas!! I hope you had a beautiful holiday. We would like to thank you so much for your kind comments about our property and staff.

The Miraflores Park Hotel is always encouraging social support especially with the children of this city, at that time the children's choir that you enjoyed, were the children of the "Red Musical" choir, which is an outreach program that promotes the development of children and youth through the creation of orchestras and choirs. In this program, children reinforce and increase their self-esteem through the strengthening of personal and social values such as friendship, trust, harmony, solidarity and group support . The children's choir "Red Musical" are made up of children between 7 and 15 years without previous musical studies. They have taken classes in violin, viola, cello, bass and vocals delivered by professional teachers.

Thank you again for staying with us and we hope that you can come back to Lima very soon!

If you enjoy the menu in our restaurant Mesa 18 by Toshiro, can you imagine what it will be very soon when this will be increased with some of the most delicious and famous dishes from our Peruvian gastronomy?

We look forward to having you stay with us again!

Warmest regards,

Patricio Zucconi

“It wasn't bad, but surely Lima can do better”

My family stayed here two nights in December. The rooms were nice, although generic. The hotel did nothing to make us feel special--they leave gift baskets in the room that are filled with extremely expensive minibar options. The view is lovely.

On our second night--we had left, visited Machu Picchu, and then come back--they messed up our rooms. We were to have three rooms, two with two double beds. We were given three rooms, one with two double beds. The hotel said they couldn't switch us, they were full, and they put a very nice rollaway in the room. That room, however, was a loser room. Despite being smoke free, it reeked. When we complained, the hotel essentially shrugged.

I'm used to, at the prices this hotel charges, having more concerned responses to complaints.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your feedback. We do apologize for the unpleasant experience during your stay.

Concerning your comments on the quality of our room, I was very sad to know that you think of it as a loser one. Despite we inform our guests that our hotel is a property where smoking is totally prohibited, unfortunately some guests ignore this information and secretly smoke in the room. When this happens the smoke tends to slip through the ducts to the room aside.

Definitely this is not the image we would like our customers to take home and we will do everything to avoid the re-occurrence of incidents of this nature in the future. I am sorry that we could not offer you another room. We would have been happy to switch you, but as it is well known Christmas time is one of the busiest times of the year, and since every year more and more people prefer and want to spend this holiday in our city, the Hotel tends to be full all this season during the year. However, I am so glad you spent this magical moment with us!

I hope you can come back to visit us and have a better impression of the hotel next time.

Sincerely,

Patricio Zucconi

“Great Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

I'm on an extended business trip through Peru and Chile. Several friends have stayed at the Miraflores Park Hotel before and highly recommended it. I must say that from arrival to departure the entire experience was a complete pleasure. Friendly and professional service, a spotlessly clean room with a heavenly bed, and a nice bar. I especially loved the lap pool on the roof which has a great view. Definitely recommended and definitely will stay again on my next trip to Lima.

“A breakfast with the best view ever”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 January 2012

The Miraflores Park was a truly enjoyable hotel in many ways but their breakfast was probably the greatest experience. It is served on the top floor with an amazing view of Miraflores and the ocean. The service was probably the smoothest we have ever seen and the food was excellent.

We stayed for six nights and then came back for one more after visiting the Amazon. For our longer stay we stayed at a room with a private garden terrace. To our understanding they only have three of those rooms and we specifically requested one in advance. The other room had a large window with a great ocean view. Both were very nice. In the garden terrace room we ended up hunting for a fairly large spider inside the room, but that's what you get for keeping the terrace door open.

Miraflores is a really nice area to stay in. The Larcomar mall with several stores and good restaurants was a few blocks away. The outdoor Larcomar had the most stunning ocean views and was definitely something else than a regular mall. The historic Barranco district was also within walking distance. It was a very nice and atmospheric place to visit.

Room Tip: If you like a private terrace, there are three rooms available. Request one by e-mail from the hotel...

Dear Guest,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback throught the Trip Advisor. Our breakfast buffet is no longer a secret. It’s quickly becoming a very popular please as our guests (and repeat guests) and local costumers not only find it a great value, but also find it really takes the stress out of getting to the airport for those early flights.

Definitely, the hotel is located at a very trendy spot, close to many shops, restaurants and other convenient venues such as banks, drug stores, markets and of course The Larcomar Mall, not forgetting to mention our neighbor district Barranco well known as the most bohemian district of Lima.

We thank you tell us about the unexpected visit you had. We assure you that we have already taken the corrective measures for our guests who stay in private room with a terrace garden never again be visited by another mischievous spider.

We can't wait to have you back in Lima at Miraflores park Hotel. It will be a pleasure to have you with us again. Thanks again for your comments!

All the best,

Patricio Zucconi
