Their brochure states "rooms from $20 per lodged"; when have you heard about a price "per lodged"; most times the first two (2) people are charged the same as one (1) - but not a this greedy place.
My wife (she looks American) and I (American) checked in at almost 1:00 in the morning from the airport; we were desperate for a room - our driver took us there (maybe he gets a "kick-back" as we were ripped-off.
The room we had was definitely the "$20 per lodged" room; no private bath, very small closet, no dresser, room was so small - like a closet, no view - except building next door, etc.
The breakfast was nice - not by any means very good.
House Sucre charged us $85 for us both for one (1) night - outrageous!!! They demanded CASH - no credit cards (possibly they do not report all their income). They took advantage of us - no excuses, no misunderstandings - they knowingly ripped-off this "American" couple.
Does Peru have Consumer Complaint Agencies like Pennsylvania? i want to file a complaint!
