This is an excellent 3 star hotel in the center of historic Cuzco. It's a charming little place in a beautiful restored colonial hose, it has everything that you'll need while exploring one of the most important historic places in the world. It has excellent location!!!
As soon as you walk in the staff will welcome you with mate de coca or coca tea .You have to remember that Cuzco is high up in Andes, 11200 ft (3400m) high, so it is good to be informed about SOROCHE or high altitude sickness. Coca tea helps you to cope with it, there is an area in the dining room for tea making, you can make it whenever you want as much as you want, take it to your room or drink it downstairs in a hotels courtyard. You won't be drugged from it, it's just used as a medicine, but be careful with it if there is a drug test waiting for you when you get back home.
This hotel is within walking distance to everything important in Cuzco. Few steps away from Plaza De Armas, restaurants, souvenir shops, museums, churches etc. You'll walk by Inka Museum as you go to the main square. You can even walk to the Saqsayhuaman site if you've managed your soroche.
The staff speaks English , they are helpful and polite, you bags will be carried to your room upon arrival and they can store your luggage for you after check out which is at 10am.
The rooms are different, some are small but some are big as three bed room on the second floor we stayed in. It was spacious, bright and clean with a high ceiling, sofa, table, chairs, 2 electric heaters for the cooler periods and cable TV. The bathroom was nice, very clean. WiFi is free, ask for a password.
Breakfast is included and available from 5:30 in the dining room down stairs, food is great and fresh ! You have oxygen tank in there too, if needed.
This hotel is full of charm, a great place to go back to after a whole day of exploring.
We loved it and would go back any time !
