Rey Antares Mystic Hotel is situated in the heart of Cusco, opposite markets that offer everything imaginable! Looking out from the breakfast room window you can see life in Cusco starting early in the morning, vibrant and with amazing diversity. The great location means that many great places to visit and wonderful places to eat, are all within easy walking distance. What makes this Hotel so memorable is the fantastic staff that offer incredibly friendly and helpful service. We were able to store our luggage when we headed off to the jungle for a few days and organising taxis and obtaining help with for Spanish translations was happily provided. Returning to the Hotel after being away was like returning to a house of good friends and when leaving for the last time, left us with a little sadness also. Nothing was too much trouble for the gorgeous staff here and my desire to return is also a result of their kindness. Make time to relax in the rooftop room that unfortunately we didn't discover until our last day! We would thoroughly recommend staying here!

Hi, everybody! This is a fantastic place with great people and confortable spaces, lika a home. Cusco is a simple place and this hotel is like this: simple and confortable. The most important thing in this hotel are the people who are always ready to help you and show you the bests options in, Cusco and in Peru. I loved it all!

If you are looking for a nice hotel at a good rate in an excellent location in Cusco, you have come to the right place. I am extremely well traveled, I have stayed in the most minimalistic hostels and some of the finest hotels around the globe so I am qualified to review a property accurately. Here is what you can expect: (1) Nice employees which to be honest is probably just one or two girls at any given time who take pride in making your stay enjoyable (most reading this review make more per day than these girls in a month so don't get pissy or have unrealistic expectations). (2) A room that has everthing you need to get ready for your trip to Machu Picchu which is why you are headed to this city to begin with I'm sure and is as follows: a locking door in a safe area with a bed, hot water shower, internet access and a nice breakfast. If you need more than that you have either choosen the wrong vacation or need a more expensive place. This is Cusco Peru so don't expect perfect English, hospital grade clean or the luxury of walking outdoors with your Rolex on. You came here to get away so just get away to this nice hotel and throw that damn hand sanitizer out the window and start living a little. This is a great little hotel so don't let anyone tell you otherwise

We stayed at Rey Antares for 4 nights before doing the Inca trail and it was really nice to be greeted with coca tea. The room and bathroom were clean with hot water showers. We then left our bags at the hotel for 3 nights while we completed the Inca trail. Upon our return the staff did not recognise us or have any recollection of us leaving our bags in the room. This worried us. Eventually it was all sorted out and we received our bags back and were moved to another room which had a pile of rubbish (old bags etc) behind the door from the previous guests. This was promptly cleaned up and other than that the room was clean and it was so so great to have a hot shower! The staff were nice but we did find it strange when they had no recollection of us after 3 days.
