e stayed at Torre Dorada for 5(five) nights.

At the arrival in Cusco we were greeted by a Torre Dorada representative who waited for us and provided the transfer to the hotel.

Once arrived at the Hotel a very friendly, fast and efficient check-in was provided.
It was early in the morning, before 10 a.m, and we were in our room. Few minutes after the check-in we benefited of a very comprehensive presentation and discussion regarding the places to be visited, and we received all the details regarding the surroundings and advice related to Cusco: where to go and where to eat in order to stay healthy, and how to deal with the adjustment to the high altitude from the very first day. It was one of the most important things, because later on we met people with huge stomach problems… and not only.

The rooms at Torre Dorada are excellent and very, very clean! The beds are perfect, covered with alpaca blankets, very comfortable; electric heaters are provided in each room and on the hallways; safety deposit box in each room. Tea and hot water, several sortiments, is available 24/7 for your convenience for each room; TVs, (if you have time to watch, access to Internet without any problems, bathrooms with shower, everything you need, hairdryer, cosmetics and hot water is available 24/7. Each room is supplied with bottled water daily.

Breakfast: very fresh, excellent cheese, cold cuts, butter, milk, cereals, eggs (are made as you wish), fresh squeezed juice (papaya, orange, pineaple, etc. ), fresh fruits, an excellent peruvian coffee, fresh bread, and all of them served in a very clean and friendly breakafst area. Breakfast is included within your rate. If you want to have something during the evening hours, (e.g.: a light meal, or a warm sandwich, etc.) are available for an extra modest price.

Included within your rate are all the transfers TO and FROM the city points of interest, including trips to an ATM if needed; Torre Dorada has several cars with drivers ready to take you and to offer you the transfers when you need them. The fact that the Hotel is in a very elegant and quiet area of Cusco was an advantage from our point of view: it is a quiet area where you can rest well. You can enjoy the view from a very nice terrace on the rooftop during the evening hours.

The most remarkable thing is that each tourist is treated as a friend, and a lot of attention is being offered by the hotel staff to everybody; you will feel that all of the Hotel personnel wants to serve you and to offer you the best; the personnel speaks English. Peggy Kalinovsky –the owner and General Manager is a very distinguished person who along with Danny and Mariela will assist you to plan your trips in the surrounding area. They recommended us the best places to eat in town, (where the food is fresh and you will not have any health issues) and those places were not the most expensive! as other hotels recommended us…

In our opinion, Tore Dorada was the PERFECT PLACE to stay in Cusco. We regretted one thing only: that we left Cusco and went to another hotel in Urubamba. All of things that we saw from Urubamba were accessible from Cusco (Torre Dorada). Many thanks to everybody who is working there so hard to provide such comfortable accommodation.

I also cannot add much to the glowing reviews so rightly deserved by Torre Dorada. The service is so much more than expected. We spent 1 night away from TD while visiting Machu Picchu and they allowed us to leave our luggage in the room since we only packed enough for the night and took us to and picked us up from Poroy station for $5 (US) each way per person. Their recommendations for dining were perfect. The taxi service was great and prompt. Anything you asked for - you received. I would definitely recommend the Torre Dorada to anyone traveling to Cusco.

There's little else to contribute to these glowing reviews -- Peggy was a wonderful host and we appreciated all that they did to make our stay in Cuzco a pleasant one (including picking us up at the airport before 7am! I should also add the breakfast selection was amazing and just what we needed.

Thanks to the entire staff of Torre Dorada!

I have traveled the world and the hospitality at this hotel exceeded my wildest dreams. We were met at the airport by a super friendly guide who brought us to the hotel. Our bags were immediately taken to our room while Peggy, one of the owners, gave us a rundown of Cusco in perfect (seemingly native) English. The hotel is very nicely kept, with a fresh pot of tea always available. The rooms were perfectly sized, clean, and comfortable, and it was great to be a bit outside of the main city hustle and bustle. The owners woke up with us at 4AM and made us breakfast just before we left for the Inca Trail. They were there to greet us when we came back. Don't be dismayed by the distance to the city service. The include taxi service is great, we never had to wait more than five minutes to go anywhere we needed to go. Absolutely pleased with our stay and tremendously grateful to Peggy and her crew. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

We stayed for a week in Cusco and felt welcomed by Peggy and her staff from the minute that we landed to the end of our stay. The rooms our clean with hot water. There is a nice breakfast also provided. The highlight is the hospitality and service provided by Peggy and her staff (Mariella and Danny deserve a special mention). I wasn't well for a couple of days and was taken wonderful care of by Peggy who had a special lunch prepared for me and by Danny and Mariella who would check in on me every now and then to see whether I needed anything.
I also liked the location of the hotel which is a 5 minute drive from Plaza de Armas, not a big deal since the hotel provides a taxi service to and from there which arrives within 10 minutes of calling for it.
I would recommend Torre Dorada to anyone visiting Cusco- it's way better than any 5 star hotel out there in terms of the level of service and attention that one gets!
