This is a lovely small property not far from the center of Cuzco. The various interior courtyards are quiet, attractive and spacious, as was our room. The English skills of the staff were a bit spotty, but they seemed to go out of their way to try to accommodate us, especially when my wife became ill. We'd certainly go back.

Courtyard-style hotels are not for everyone, especially if you want to sleep in. Breakfast at Tambo was also a bit scant.

the rooms are very well maintained.

since it is a new hotel things were not running smooth - we had to remind the reception to turn on the heating system, the showers of the 2nd floor room didn't had enough hot water (which was fixed later on),towel were changed only every two days unless asked for.
the breakfast was basic (with compare to the same grade hotels that we stayed in)

the location of the hotel although only 4 blocks from the Plaza but was up hill.

the reception desk was very helpful, English speaking.

Newly & stylishly decorated. Very modern bathroom with powerful hot shower. All rooms set around a pretty courtyard with arches. Staff really helpful. Pleasant breakfast. Double doors from room, leading to the courtyard, but no windows, so a bit gloomy in the room when the doors were shut. Lovely to have heating and a kettle in the room. Good location, about 10 mins walk fom the main square.

Tambo del Arriero is an excellent boutique hotel. Good location, close to restaurants and most tourist attractions in Cusco. The rooms are big, clean and comfortable. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate any needs at all hours. Breakfast is simple, good, with fresh fruit, enough for a good start. They do prepare breakfast at 4am if you are leaving on a tour.
