My husband and I were impressed with the friendly staff and the great location of the property. Zerohotel is just a short walk from multiple restaurants, and the staff was always willing to provide recommendations, assistance with airport transfers, etc. In short, we had a wonderful stay and would stay at this property again.

Also, the views from the Winter Garden and outdoor terrace are awesome (i.e., the pictures online are what you see in person), and after each day of exploring the city, we enjoyed sitting with a glass (or two) of wine while appreciating these views. The honesty bar is a great touch, and we were also pleasantly surprised when the staff provided snacks in the early evening. By the time that we headed out to dinner in the late evening, we felt completely relaxed!

The only slight downside to the property is that the Colores room that we booked (i.e., one of the rooms without a view of the bay) was smaller than expected. It was still a great room (and the bathroom was awesome), but, given the price, we expected a bit more space. Again, it's a slight downside, and it would not stop me from returning to visit the property.

Zero hotel is a true boutique hotel with hardly ten rooms. You feel in family home rather than in a hotel. If you can afford it, rooms with a view are worth the extra money.

My daughter and I stayed here and were charmed by this boutique hotel. We had a fantastic view of the ocean and we had ample space for the two of us.

The facilites and style inside are modern and colourful.The location of the hotel was ideal for us as we did a walking tour of Valparaiso and were already in the area.

I suppose the area could be boring if you were expecting something like the resort city of Vina del Mar nearby, but if you would like to be with the locals you are in the right place as the hotel is located in a residential neighbourhood within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The houses in Valparaiso are colourful on the hilll and the area has a true bohemian flare. On the walking tour you will see a variety of architecture and styles indicative of the imagrants that arrived in the are. Don't miss Paseo Yugoslavo, Paseo Gervasoni, Paseo Atkinson.

We stayed at several places with my daughter, but hands down she remembers the spectacular view and the yummy breakfast at the Hotel Zero as our favorite.

Even though I mentioned the breakfast was very good, the service in the restaurant was only adequate, which can be typical of most restaurant service in Chile. This is a flaw in the nation in general (there are some exceptions), but in general If you go to a persons home you are treated like a welcome guest, but if you go to a restaurant the staff behave as if they they are doing you the favor!
