“Great stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

We stayed at this hotel two different times. We really enjoyed the location and the front desk staff are outstanding.
The only thing I would avoid is booking Room 7 on the lower level. It is very small but the biggest problem is a lack of ventilation, The window is tiny and the room smells musty. Another room on the lower level was just fine.

Room Tip: Do not pick number 7.

“A little gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

This is a very nice small hotel. It is very clean, nicely decorated and very charming. The breakfast is quite good and the breakfast room is lovely and comfortable. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the hotel is in a great location for sightseeing. We walked to most places and taxis were inexpensive if you needed one. We would stay here again.

“Enjoyed our stay enough to return for a second stay!”

What a gem this hotel is - great location 2 Metro stops from the city centre. Only 8 rooms on our first stay we stayed in a "superior double" and a "standard single". The standard single was very small with not much room to move but certainly adequate for one person. The superior double was also quite small but only because the bed was huge - big enough for 3 persons! We had enough space for our 2 cases but only after we put the chair in the wardrobe - however to be honest it did not bother us as the bathroom was excellent and the bed huge and very comfortable.
Having a big comfortable bed with good pillows is such a bonus when you are travelling that less space is something I am prepared to cope with.
Great breakfast, free WIFI, really nice relaxing areas both outside in the garden and inside in a guest lounge.
Second stay we had the top floor loft apartment - huge double and 2 single beds with a sitting room and kitchenette - great views across to the Sant Christobel statue on the hilltop.
Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Location was excellent with fabulous Japanese restaurant in the same street plus pizza/bar right next door (no noise heard!).
Airport pick up was arranged by the hotel on email - tip - look for driver sign but don't always expect your name to be correctly spelt!! $38 USD - same price as taxi from airport.

Room Tip: Spend little extra and get the Superior room rather than a Standard.

“so sad it was only for one night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 January 2012

We rented 4 rooms for a stay on january 8, 2012, we were arriving from a cruise so they arranged a pick up service for us and a tour of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. We had asked to be collected at 8:30, but due to disembarkation timing we had to move it for 10:15, no problem, they handeled it. We arrived to the hotel at 4 pm, our rooms were ready and we were given a tour of the petit hotel. The rooms as other reviewers have pointed out are really tiny, but cute, clean and comfortable. For some reason, one of the doubles was changed to the loft and let me tell you it has a king size bed and two singles, a kitchenette with water heater, microwave and mini fridge, it also has a sitting area and a dining table. The other rooms were small, but very nice, each with their own bathrooms.
They have a honest snack area on the ground floor, where they also serve breakfast, you can take anything you like from the designated fridge or the countertop and fill out a card stating what you took and they´ll add it to your room account. The breakfast is served buffet style, it is very simple, but adequate. It offers an assortment of cold meats, cheeses, breads, spreads, juices, milk and cereal.
The staff is really helpful, offering directions and tips, they do a great job giving the hotel the feeling you´re staying at a friends house. No hassle with the luggage they take it to the room and bring it to the lobby after you check out. The only downfall is the lady that helps with the breakfast, she will only answer in one word (language was not the problem as we speak spanish) and is not very helpful, but you don´t really have to have any interaction with her.
If I ever find myself back in Santiago, I would definetley stay there again, but keep in mind the word PETITE is there for a reason, and not in a bad way.
