We rented 4 rooms for a stay on january 8, 2012, we were arriving from a cruise so they arranged a pick up service for us and a tour of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar. We had asked to be collected at 8:30, but due to disembarkation timing we had to move it for 10:15, no problem, they handeled it. We arrived to the hotel at 4 pm, our rooms were ready and we were given a tour of the petit hotel. The rooms as other reviewers have pointed out are really tiny, but cute, clean and comfortable. For some reason, one of the doubles was changed to the loft and let me tell you it has a king size bed and two singles, a kitchenette with water heater, microwave and mini fridge, it also has a sitting area and a dining table. The other rooms were small, but very nice, each with their own bathrooms.
They have a honest snack area on the ground floor, where they also serve breakfast, you can take anything you like from the designated fridge or the countertop and fill out a card stating what you took and they´ll add it to your room account. The breakfast is served buffet style, it is very simple, but adequate. It offers an assortment of cold meats, cheeses, breads, spreads, juices, milk and cereal.
The staff is really helpful, offering directions and tips, they do a great job giving the hotel the feeling you´re staying at a friends house. No hassle with the luggage they take it to the room and bring it to the lobby after you check out. The only downfall is the lady that helps with the breakfast, she will only answer in one word (language was not the problem as we speak spanish) and is not very helpful, but you don´t really have to have any interaction with her.
If I ever find myself back in Santiago, I would definetley stay there again, but keep in mind the word PETITE is there for a reason, and not in a bad way.
