Good food is central to my life and therefore too to my trips. For this reason our visit to Europeo was a big let down, especially at that price. Considered by local food critics as one the top Santiago restaurants, and Chef/owner Carlos something as Nº1 chef, based on my one visit, the food is not up to the standard one gets in Spain for a similar price (around 60€ a head for the menú desgutación). Service is great and the food OK, but nothing at all inspiring, nor spectacular which is what I'm after at that price. Nothing I ate sticks in my mind and I'd much sooner spend less on something simple. The overall level of what europeans would consider 'Gastronomic/michelin-starred type' restaruants in Chile in not amazing and it's probably wiser to spend one's money in restaurants centred more typical, local dishes.
