Lodging offer in Puerto Varas is plenty, but make no mistake. No matter they tell toy this other or that other hotel is the newest or the whatever, the Patagonico is by far the best. It is a large 1940's built, 3 level, totally renovated building; Very ample hallways, lobby, staircases, allpublic spaces. Even when it's full it won't feel cluttered. Rooms and bathrooms are large by any standard, not one of them is equal to another. 40 inch flat screen w/cable TV, however no DVD, no ppv. Business center is large but is dark and has just 2 ancient computers and you need to print at the front desk (prior sending your doc by email). Breakfast (included as in all hotels in Chile) is great, there's everything including your eggs á la carte. Terrace, views, pool vies are great. Also is the indoor swimming pool & spa.Don't be put off by comments on the distance to town enter. Its really a less than 10' walk.

This is the best place to be in the Lake District. this is also the best accommodations in all of Puerto Varas. The hotel is relaxing..great spa and the rooms are huge...

We visited this hotel in October 2011 for a medical conference. Beautiful hotel and very relaxing. Rooms are elegantly simple. The hotel has two dining options. A higher end restaurant that we tried once and was good. They also have a bar that serves food. The service in the bar is terrible but at certain times of day, it is your only option. The bar itself is a cool place to hang out. There is no wi-fi in the rooms but it is easily accessible in the common areas on the first floor. There are lots of private nooks to curl up in with your laptop. This hotel is up on a hill so you have to walk down to get into town but it is not far and is an easy walk.

We stayed in this hotel for four nights and loved every minute of it! The hotel is located about five minutes walk from the town centre. We paid extra for a room with a view over the lake and of Volcon Osorno and it was worth every penny, the view was amazing. The staff were very professional and very friendly. The food available from both the bar and the restaurant was very good, the bar also had lighter snacks available. There is a spa with a small swimming pool and also a smallish gym, the staff here were also very friendly. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is considering a visit to Puerto Varas.
