My boyfriend and I planned to go on vacations for a week on Pucon. We decided to stay at Cabañas Alto Misimali. We checked the place online and according to the photos it looked fine to us. Also, due to the number of days, one of the owners (Lidia Mera Manriquez) offered a discount and we agreed on the price.
When we arrived (at Saturday night) one of the owners (Otto) received us and showed us the cabin. I must say that at the beginning we have to ask him about the light of the bathroom (it wasn't working) and toilet paper. He change the bulb and gave us the supplies (toilet paper and soap).
The cabin has 2 rooms, one with a kitchen, a small dining room and a sofa.The other one has the bedroom and really small bathroom.
The heating system is a small gas stove (not enough for the size of the cabin)
The kitchen doesn't have the supplies needed, the furniture is very old and ruin down.
The cabin smells musky and you can see clearly human hair on the bath tub and spider webs on the bedrooms walls. When my boyfriend tried to use the wi-fi internet it didn't work. Also, when we asked Otto about the room service he said that it didn't work on weekends!!!!
The view is breath-taking but you can't enjoy it because the place is full of mosquitoes.
At that time we're very upset.
So, we decided to check on Pucon another place to stay. After we find a much better place (Cabañas Ruca-Lemu, wait for my review) we informed Otto that the next day we're going to leave the place and that we need a refund (because we payed 50% of the whole price as a reserve). He agreed but....the next day, when we go to check out, we were received by ( I presume) Otto's wife, Lidia Mera Manriquez.
She was upset because we're leaving early and when I asked her about the refund she said that because they gave us a special price she will charge us the whole price (I must say that there's no warning of this in any email or on their website).
We didn't want to keep arguing with this person (we were on vacations and we wanted to have a nice time) so we accept the charge and leave the place with a bitter sensation (we were robbed!!!).

My advice is if you're going to stay in Pucon try to see the cabins before, there's a lot of way better places than Cabañas Alto Misimali and much better prices.
