“Great, we had no idea what to expect!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 17 January 2012

My partner and I arrived late around 12am. Upon checking in it was discovered that I had stuff up the booking ha, but the man on the desk still said he could accommodate us, which sometimes doesn’t happen. We stayed two nights in a private room. Room was very clean with new sheets and pillows. I wasn’t woken once during the night. No window in room but who really cares, A/C was pumping all night long and even had a fan AWESOME. We were next to bathroom which woke me up in the morning but it was time to wake. B/F was basic Toast and Hard Egg, just what you need. Wi-Fi is free. It’s in a great location, close to MRT Station. This is a basic hostel, it works really well.

Room Tip: We were on1st Floor, it worked out

“Nice hostel in Singapore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 December 2011

This hostel has great value for money. The lounge is really nice with a few couches, a big flatscreen tv with dvds, a wii with some games, three computers that you can use for free and a big chill out area with bean bags. There is free wifi in the lounge. The rooms to sleep in are average. The one thing we did not like is that you are not able to recharge your phone or computer in your dorm. You had to do that in the lounge. And we did not really like the rooms on the same floor as the reception. Ask for a bed upstairs where there is more room. The thing we did like is that they are really clean. They clean and spray the beds after every visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room upstairs

“Clean Hostel, great location and friendly staff”

We stayed only one night but really liked this place. We booked in advance, everything went perfect and they even suggested us another room which was cheaper than the one we had requested. Rooms and Bathrooms were clean. Free Breakfast and Wifi and Tee/Coffee all day long. It's located in little India with cheap small indian restaurants as well as bars that serve western food.

“nice and clean but could be better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

Overall this was a decent option and you probably won't find much cheaper in Singapore.

The rooms are clean, you can get free breakfast (2 eggs and as much toast, tea and coffee as you like) and free internet and wifi. There is quite a nice social area for hanging out in and you can watch movies and stuff. I also liked that they would lend you lonely planet guidebooks for a small deposit.

I don't understand why they have such a late check in (12.30) when check out is as 10am and they don't actually strip or make any of the beds. they give you the sheets etc to do it yourself which I don't mind but I don't know why they make you check in so late. Annoying when you've just off an overnight train. Also the directions they gave me as to how to get the hostel were wrong. Finally after you have checked out and have a late bus/train to catch they charge you if you wanna have a shower and store your luggage which was a bit annoying in a backpacker place.

Finally like other reviews have mentioned all of the facilities are one of two buildings so you could have to walk back and forth between the two buildings a lot of the time (however its not really that far)
