As a lone traveler, I booked the Conrad as a Hilton HHonors Diamond member. I was met at the airport by a driver who was ready to drive me to the hotel (for a charge). From that point on, the service was superb and after first recognition, I was addressed by my last name (it's little things like this the separate 5-star hotels from others). I booked a King Room with a view of the city, and was upgraded on arrival to an Executive Room. The room itself was a good size, and layout was great. It had separate tub bath and shower, with all amenities included. The only request I made while I was there was for some ice, and that was promptly met by housekeeping in what seemed like a few seconds. After having stayed at the Conrad in Hong Kong and Tokyo, this Conrad is certainly in line with the excellent service I've come to expect from this high class Hilton property. In regards to location, it is near the central business district (CBD), which has made a popular destination for business travelers, as I noticed a large amount of guests where in this category. It's great because you don't get that touristy atmosphere that you would get at a resort destination. In summary, the staff, the service, the location, and the overall experience made my stay in Singapore all the more enjoyable.
