The Hotel very well built and especially the lobby area has a very feel-good factor.. you just have to look up and it looks so majestic.. We went during the Christmas beak and the property was well decorated with a Giant Christmas tree. The check-in was smooth in-spite of being a good 6 Hours before the scheduled check-in time - a very rare privilege in a city like Singapore where most hotel would simply refuse early check-in or would charge for it. The room was quite spacious compared to Singapore standards, Room service was very good. The best about this hotel is that it has a commercial complex attached to it which you can use for grocery and small shopping, get a massage or go to the night club (karaoke bar) located on the top floor of the commercial complex. The guy at the concierge desk was god-sent and helped us plan our days well during the stay.
The bad stuff about the property - A very average swimming pool with no staff. No spa. A little far from everywhere and the taxi fare would dent your wallet. Breakfast was very average with no variation during the 6 days we stayed. Questionable value for money..

During my stay in Holiday Inn for 1-month training, I cannot say how disappointed I was to this hotel. The staff are slow in service and they are not thinking from perspective of clients. I wonder how these staff are getting trained. The location is very far away from city center and no train or restaurant or shops nearby.

There are 2 holiday Inn in Singapore. One is Atrium and the other is Orchard.

I stayed in Holiday Inn Atrium for 3night during my second Singapore biz. trip.
It was designated hotel by our company, so there was no option to choose another one.

As a biz trip. the hotel is ok. but if you are a traveller or travelling with your family
I wouldn't recommand this hotel.

The outlook of the hotel doesn't look that old but overall atmosphere of the hotel looks
a bit old fashioned (Bed, Bathroom, Carpet, Lobby).

Breakfast buffer was not bad and room kept alway clean.
You can use internet (wifi) but it costs some money. Service level in the front was so so.

Although Singapore is a quite small country and you can go anywhere with a short ride of taxi or MRT, this hotel is a bit away from City centre or any tourist attractions.
There is nothing to have fun nearby hotel - Only one night club across the street for the local.

I tried to walk to the nearest MRT station and it took about 20minutes on foot.
So, if you want to move around then just take a taxi.
The location was the most disappointed factor for me.

I believe this is hotel is an interesting choice as the location is quite decent and rooms are fairly spacioud .I have stayed here 3 times now and I am priority club member.Checking and Checkout are fairly quick and they allowed me to check in at around 11:30 AM as i am priority Gold member. I will use this hotel again though i don't like there food very much :( I will give them 4 stars.
